'Mayans MC' Season 2 Episode 7: EZ asks Emily for help with 'a family thing', what could it be?
Spoilers ahead for Season 2 Episode 7 titled 'Tohil' of 'Mayans MC'
Miguel (Danny Pino) is suspicious about Emily (Sarah Bolger) from the minute Mayor Pena (Alexandra Barreto) disclosed the news of Galindo Enterprises taking over the agri-park project.
A city clerk had been found dead in his apartment in a suicide, she tells them. He shot himself through his head, but before that, he sent out emails admitting to accepting bribes to pass on insider information to ChinAgra (the Chinese company that had won the bid for the project over Emily's bid).
Outside the mayor's office, Miguel asks Emily if she had anything to do with Galindo Enterprises taking over the project.
In the last episode, Emily had asked EZ (JD Pardo) to visit Marlon and scare him about accepting the bribes. While that meeting ended abruptly, EZ had managed to get the emails out.
Emily denies involvement in this, obviously, but Miguel seems unconvinced. Seeing this, Emily tells him that he needn't worry anymore, that Galindo Enterprises, Miguel's legacy, is now one step further away from all the bloodshed it was born out of.
The couple had arrived at the Mayor's office in two separate cars and leave in their respective cars. Once inside, he tells Nestor (Gino Vento) that he wants to be posted of where and when his wife goes, all her whereabouts, 24x7.
Later in the day, as Miguel is on his way back home, he receives a call from Emily telling him that Marlon's death has hit Ileana really hard and that she has looked to Emily for support. She tells him she won't be long.
When Emily enters the building, she lets EZ in through a window — if they are seen together, it is not going to be pleasant for either party involved. He tells her what had happened that other night and how he had made it appear as a suicide.
Emily seems guilty about being directly involved in this manner. EZ tells her that Marlon is dead "because he pulled a gun on me while I was doing a favor for someone I care about". This seems to put her at ease.
The duo hug each other goodbye, but before leaving, Emily thanks him and tells him that she can help him and/or his family if they ever need it.
EZ takes her up on her offer, and pulls some papers out of his pocket saying, "It's a family thing".
What favor do you think will EZ ask of Emily? Earlier in the episode, after they had rescued immigrants from the Mexican MC Vatos Malditos, EZ had gone back to his trailer and looked through some paperwork related to his mother Marisol's death.
