Mayans MC season 2 episode 5 'Xquic': Emily has already questioned Miguel's fidelity. Will her doubts be proven true?
Spoilers ahead for season 2 episode 4 'Lahun Chan' of 'Mayans MC'
Last week, in a turn of events [actually, not that surprising since fans of the show were predicting the reveal since episode 2] Dita (Ada Maris) reveals that Miguel (Danny Pino) is not Jose Galindo's son but Felipe's (Edward James Olmos). The reveal might have cemented the fan theory, but for the show's characters it has indicated the beginning of a storm.
According to the official synopsis for season 2 episode 5 of 'Mayans MC', "an unexpected storm kicks up dust south of the border, as old family secrets bleed into familial affairs".
With this out, Dita is under the impression that no one else is aware of the secret she had been harbouring all these years. What she doesn't know is that Emily (Sarah Bolger), her daughter-in-law and the mother of her grandson, had discovered the old photograph of her along with Jose and Felipe. In the promo for episode 5 shared by FX, we can see Emily visit Felipe to uncover the truth, and who tells her that this history will hurt the ones she loves. After what she discovers there will Emily disclose this to Miguel? Or will she go to EZ with this information? Or given the tensions between the Galindo ladies, will she confront Dita directly?
The promo also shows Emily ask Miguel, "The way you talk about her, do you love her?" It is possible that she is questioning him about Adelita (Carla Baratta). This is not the first time that she has asked his about Adelita -- earlier this season she asked him if he knew who the father of the baby was in a rather suspicious way. Her doubts about Miguel's fidelity are only getting worse. This might not bode well for their relationship.
At the same time, EZ and Angel (Clayton Cardenas) have discovered the truth behind the shooting of their mother Marisol. Happy (David Labrava) revealed that the hit was not only meant for his mother, but also for Felipe and that "he fucked up" the hit. He also informs them that the order for their parents' murder came from Les Packer, the Sons of Anarchy president for the San Bernardino chapter. But, with Adelita taken hostage by Potter (Ray McKinnon), Angel might go the distance to save her even if it means he has to go against the club. This is likely to put a pause on their quest to find out about the murder of their parents.
'Mayans MC' airs on Tuesdays at 10 PM on Fox.
