Maxine Waters calls Donald Trump a 'loser who's lost his mind', Republicans slam her for 'spewing garbage'

Maxine Waters won hearts for using Internet slang to diss President Donald Trump's ongoing outburst over the 2020 election results; "You're a loser. PeriodT" wrote the congresswoman in a tweet about the president. But Republican supporters of the POTUS are now slamming her, saying she's spewing 'garbage'. 

Waters, 82, recently raged on Twitter that the POTUS had 'lost his mind', after mocking his for losing almost all legal challenges his campaign had made since Democratic rival Joe Biden was announced president-elect. "Can’t wait for January 6th when the electoral votes from the 50 states will be sent to Congress," Waters tweeted this time, adding: "Trump, you LOST the popular vote, the ELECTORAL vote, & you’ve obviously lost your mind! What does it take for you to understand you’re a LOSER. PeriodT (as the millennials say)!"

Waters' claims come after election officials repeatedly denied any evidence of voter fraud that the Trump campaign alleged. And soon she rose to high ranks among the Internet users who praised 'Auntie Waters' for using their slang 'PeriodT' to throw flak at the President. But Republicans didn't shy away from throwing in a piece of their mind either. Texas congressman Brian Babin, a Republican, slammed Waters for 'spewing garbage'. "Democrats spew this garbage - then claim they want 'unity' in the next post. Yeah… right," Babin tweeted, adding: "Continuing to insult @realDonaldTrump & the 75 million Americans who voted for him WILL NOT unify our country. Pick a new strategy or stop talking."

Other Republicans who came at Waters for her remark of the president weren't kind either. "If there is any loser, Maxine, it’s you !! You about to eat some chocolate pie that Minnie made in The Help!!" wrote a Twitter user referring to the pie made of her own feces that Octavia Spencers' character Minnie fed Bryce Dallas Howard's Hilly in the Oscar-nominated 2011 film. Some also took the chance to slam Joe Biden for winning the election. One of them wrote: "Least Trump can speak his own mind and not have someone speak for him like Biden has, Biden has to read from a teleprompter so he don’t look stupid. Biden has lost more of his mind can’t answer simple questions, don’t know what city he’s in, the man is clearly not all there."

This wasn't the first time Waters made controversial digs at the sitting president of the US either. Last month, she said that the 'door is closed' on Trump's presidency, adding that he has 'no good values'. "I wish I could say I’m surprised at what he’s doing,” said Waters during her MSNBC appearance on November 23, adding: "This way that he is trying to make people believe that somehow he actually won the election, that the Democrats have all been a fraud, not counting the votes properly on and on."

Having served in the US Representative for California's 43rd congressional district since 1991, Waters said she will "never, ever forgive" Black people who voted for Trump. During her appearance on the Joe Madison Show, Waters said Trump is not only "not doing anything" for African-American people, but he also has no respect for them. “For those black young men who think somehow they can align themselves with Trump, not only are they terribly mistaken. I will never, ever forgive them for undermining the possibility to help their own people and their own communities," she said.
