A Florida man went on a rampage at the Miami International Airport on Friday, August 27. Onlookers filmed the whole ordeal the airport personnel had to endure as the man started throwing stanchions around, at one point picking one up and threatening to hit an official with it. He was seen pacing up and down with a lot of force, yelling, kicking stuff around without any concern for the safety of the people around him.

Speaking of unruly flyers, on August 5, Maxwell Berry from Ohio had to be duct-taped to his seat aboard a Frontier Airlines flight after he sexually assaulted two female flight attendants and physically assaulted a male attendant. He was released shortly after and then took to Twitter to laugh about the situation and boasting about his money by asking people to drop their CashApp ids in the comments. This was after he was mocked for flying with Frontier on Twitter despite claiming his parents were worth millions while being restrained on the flight.

'Maskless Covidiot' goes on rampage at Miami International Airport

The video of the incident to some extent implies that officials at the boarding gate refused to allow the maskless man on the flight for failing to comply with regulations. The federal mask mandate is still in action and will expire on September 13, 2021. Until then all passengers on public transport are required to wear masks at all times, while at the airport, as well as on the flight whether it's a five-hour flight or one which lasts under an hour.

The video does not show what led to the fight but the man was not wearing a mask and the officials were trying to calm him down as he went ahead to throw stuff around. While the incident which looks like it could've ended up tragically for someone happened, there was no security in sight. "Where's the damn police?" a woman can be heard asking in the video. Footage from this incident has gone viral on Twitter and people are now viewing this incident as a serious threat to the safety of people at the airport since there was no one around to stop this man act violently - both physically and verbally as he hurled around the N-word at airport staff.

What is also concerning is the fact that he made it to the boarding gate without a mask and fingers are also being pointed at the airport and whether they are following protocol. "This is in the gate area. How did he get this far without a mask? Guys, always keep your hands up protecting your face in this situation. Hold them up open hands like you want no trouble. You can block a strike and then strike back. Self-defense 101. Go quick to throat," an irate user tweeted. "Where are the airport police? You try to take a bottle of shampoo thru security and they are on you immediately," another user tweeted.

Miami International Airport sent out a tweet addressing the situation. "We continue to stand firm with @MiamiDadePD in protecting the security/safety of all areas in the airport. @FAANews reported unruly behavior incidents are to more than 3,800 in ‘21. We don’t tolerate this behavior at MIA. Police responded & apprehended the passenger," the tweet read. Miami Dade police responded as well revealing this man was a military veteran in "crisis".

"This incident involved a military veteran in crisis. Our Airport District officers immediately responded to the call by airport staff and transported him to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. The MDPD is committed to the safety of all our residents and visitors," the tweet read. According to bystanders, before the racist tirade against staff, he had engaged in a verbal duel with his girlfriend who can be seen in the video unsuccessfully trying to calm him down.  Others said he was stopped from boarding the flight for being intoxicated and agressive.
