Marjorie Taylor Greene posts Senate toilet meme amid Trump impeachment, Internet says she should be 'flushed'

Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shared a tweet on Tuesday, February 9, that showed an animated toilet with the entire Senate fitted inside after the chamber voted to proceed with former President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial.

Greene, who is a well-known Trump supporter, tweeted a post by conservative YouTuber Cari Kelemen that showed the Senate in session, inside a toilet bowl with the caption, “We need Turd Limits", which of course was a pun on the phrase "term limits".

Greene retweeted the meme with the caption, “Agree! #ImpeachmentTrial.” The scathing rhetoric was directed at the Senate as they voted 56-44 to reject arguments by Trump’s lawyers that holding an impeachment trial for a former POTUS was unconstitutional.

An array of reactions followed her post, most of them criticizing her choice of meme. "As eloquent as always, I see," one of them said while another wrote, "This is the Congress of Deputies in Spain."

A user commented, "If I posted something like this about my colleagues I’d be fired." One more quipped, "And @mattgaetz got so hot from the ’wit’ of this he had to go light his own fart." The next remarked, "As usual, stay classy." Another said, "Where you belong." A commenter tweeted, "Self-deprecating humor." One more said, "Yes. MTG needs to be flushed immediately."

Green even shot back at a Twitter user who flagged her toilet post to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy pointing out that it was not "appropriate and professional". Greene tweeted, “When the Democrats want to start acting appropriately and professionally themselves, and apologize for their hypocrisy and support of riots, instead of continuing their Trump Derangement Syndrome temper tantrums, then I’ll stop sharing memes on their level.”

Earlier on Tuesday, February 9, she also promoted another conspiracy theory claiming that the people who stormed the Capitol on January 6 were not Trump supporters. “If the #Jan6 organizers were Trump supporters, then why did they attack us while we were objecting to electoral college votes for Joe Biden?” Greene tweeted.

“The attack RUINED our objection that we spent weeks preparing for, which devastated our efforts on behalf of Trump and his voters.” She added  that the Capitol attack was “planned and organized, NOT incited in the moment by President Trump.”

Using a phrase popularized by the former POTUS himself, Greene said that Trump is the victim of a “witch hunt” which is never-ending and the impeachment trial a “circus for the Democrat media mob to entertain the masses that they have brainwashed.”

Greene was booted from her two House committee assignments just recently over her past conspiracy theorist statements which included tweets wanting to "hang"
former President Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the Iran nuclear deal and support for a "bullet to the head" for Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

She also liked comments about executing FBI agents who she believed were part of the "deep state" working against Trump. Greene is also known to have frequently posted baseless QAnon conspiracy theories which hailed Trump as the leader who battled against a sinister cabal of Democrats and celebrities who run a pedophile ring.
