MOSCOW, IDAHO: The first potential suspect in the University of Idaho quadruple murder was finally named on Friday, December 30. Investigators arrested the suspect named Bryan Christopher Kohberger from Pennsylvania and the process to expedite him to Idaho is currently underway. However, as the name got published by various media outlets, it started to trend on various social media platforms, and on various occasions, people who shared the same name as the Idaho murder suspect started to face challenges.

One such social media user came out and declared on his Instagram account, “My account blew up out of nowhere and I was shocked when I started getting messages. I searched my name on Google and saw that it was saying that I had murdered people. I'm a guy who likes to have fun, so I changed my profile picture to someone else for about an hour. After doing some research, I found out that what this person had done was heinous. I am Bryan Kohberger, but I am not a killer. I am a good person. Here are some pictures of me, including one where I am in Honduras helping children. Sorry for the confusion.”

Wish you all the best,” another added. Someone noted, “Might need to take it private, dude, and lay super low for a while. The lunatics are just getting warmed up.” “Might need to lock down your accounts and make them private for a while… people seem to get out of hand when it comes to things like this. & people really need to pay attention because look nothing like the man they have plastered all over the news & on TikTok.. I hope you can find some peace soon,” another user remarked.

According to authorities, Bryan Christopher Kohberger, the suspect in the Idaho killings, resided in Pullman, Washington before going to Pennsylvania. Six weeks after the four victims' alleged deaths, Kohberger, a student at Washington State University, was apprehended more than 2,500 miles from the crime scene.
