MSNBC is now drawing immense flak on social media after an intelligence analyst working with them made light of the explosions at Kabul airport by tweeting "deal with it." The controversial analyst called Malcolm Nance has since deleted his tweet, but social media is ablaze with disgust and fury over the trivialization of probably this major humanitarian crisis Afghanistan has been embroiled in ever since the Taliban takeover on August 10.

The backlash at MSNBC for condoning Nance's behavior comes after severe slamming of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, for being AWOL in the wake of the Taliban siege as the August 31 evacuation deadline draws closer. Social media has been rife with criticism as the Taliban continues to threaten the US and the UK with "consequences" if they fail to meet the evacuation deadline, with desperate Afghans trapped in the country begging Biden to rescue them before the Taliban gets to them. With the suicide bombing killing 13 marines, Nance's tweet seems beyond distasteful to social media, where people are flocking to boycott MSNBC and whatever the media house stands for.

In his since-deleted tweet, Nance had written to nearly a million Twitter followers: "20 YEARS- FYI there have been terrorist suicide bombers killing civilians nearly DAILY in Afghanistan. This ain't new. It's why we are leaving. #DealWithIt." Nance, who has previously served in the US Navy and rose to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer, has a history of controversial statements on social media.

Fox News reports that previously he had claimed in another since-deleted tweet that former POTUS Donald Trump was compromised by Russia way back in 1977 and that ISIS should carry out a suicide bombing in the Istanbul Trump Tower. Nance had ultimately deleted his tweet, but not apologized for what he had said, unlike the recent incident where, after deleting his tweet, Nance admitted that his initial choice of words was "callous."But the internet refuses to overlook, let alone forgive him as the tone of this tweet couldn't have been any more irresponsible.

Blaze TV's Jason Whitlock said, "If someone at a major cable news network tweeted #dealwithit as it relates to George Floyd or Breonna Taylor, they would be immediately fired and called racist. Nothing will happen to Malcolm Nance." Veteran activist platform Code of Vets called out Nance saying: "You are sick and twisted @MalcolmNance May God have mercy on your soul."

Other users chimed in, tweeting: "@MalcolmNance you are DESPICABLE! #justdealwithit huh? How about you meet with the families of those soldiers and say that to their faces? You’re a PIG and I’ll be boycotting any and all media you are on!" Slamming MSNBC further, one user tweeted: "this is what mainstream media @MSNBC say of the murder of 12 American marines. They see it as no big deal and want us to “#DealWithIt “ DO NOT SUPPORT CORPORATIONS THAT ARE NOT PRO-AMERICA!! They are NOTHING without us. They need us, we don’t need them."

Several confronted the media house asking how they consider Nance's tweet acceptable. "12 US Marines are killed by terrorists and your response is #DealWithIt @MSNBC how do you condone this type of behavior on your network? He’s a vile, disgusting ugly human being," complained one user. Another tweeted: "@MalcolmNance you’re a horrible ugly human being who do not deserve to call yourself an American. @MSNBC how could you even keep this disgusting piece of on your network? You’re just as horrible as he is. #DealWithIt"

Daily Mail also reports that under Nance's since-deleted tweet, several media professionals had replied slamming the intelligence analyst. Fourth Watch editor Steve Krakauer had reportedly responded tweeting: "Imagine not just thinking this, but feeling so beyond shame and perspective that you tweet it publicly." Conservative reporter Chuck Ross slammed both Nance and the media house, dubbing him as "MSNBC's finest." Ross's colleague Joe Simonson also tweeted: "Always genuinely disturbing to be reminded that these guys worked at the highest levels of the us government." Political expert Jack Crosbie also called out Nance, tweeting: "Can't think of anything witty to say here but maybe if your tweet about a suicide bombing includes 'hashtag dealwithit' it's not a good tweet."
