MAGA world raises $2M for jailed marine Stuart Scheller who says Trump is bad for US
A jailed Marine has received a lot of support from MAGA world despite calling former President Donald Trump unfit to run the country. Trump supporters have raised over $2 million Lt Col Stuart Scheller, who became popular in August after he started bashing the government and its policies on social media. In the videos shared online, he called out US military’s botched handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
While his initial posts targeted President Joe Biden's administration, a video posted on his LinkedIn later took a darker turn, where he claimed, “Follow me, and we will bring the whole fucking system down.”
At the time, Scheller said that he will leave his job, but instead, he was fired and asked not to post on social media. However, the marine did not stop and continued to criticize everyone from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen Mark Milley to former President Barack Obama.

Scheller also blasted Trump and wrote on Facebook on September 26, “President Trump. I was told by everyone to kiss the ring because of your following and power. I refuse. While I respect your foreign policy positions, I hate how you divided the country. I don’t need or want your help. You do not have the ability to pull US together. You may even win the next election. But your generation’s time is running out.”
He added: “Tell your son to stop tweeting about me. Your whole family knows nothing about US or our sacrifices. I could never work with you. I’d rather sit in jail and be released with a dishonorable than make compromises in my beliefs.”
Last Monday, September 28, Scheller was put in military jail for violating military laws. But despite his harsh words for Trump, MAGA supporters set up a fundraising campaign for him and his family - the goal was to raise $2 million. The campaign has been launched by a group called the Pipe Hitter Foundation, run by controversial former Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher. The fundraising page states, “The Pipe Hitter Foundation is incredibly proud to assist Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Scheller, a Marine who had the courage to demand accountability from his leadership in the wake of a disastrous exit from Afghanistan that lead to the death of 13 of his fellow service members.”
“Pipe Hitter Foundation stands with LtCol Stuart Scheller and his family #StandwithStu. Stu is exactly the type of Marine we need at this moment in time – to push back against the national security structure that has a long-demonstrated track record of inefficiencies, corruption, and failure,” it adds.
Not just that, representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and Madison Cawthorn along with many have stood in support of him and signed a letter demanding Scheller's release. Representative Louie Gohmert took to Twitter to share the signed letter and wrote, “In a letter to the US Marine Corps Commandant, my colleagues and I have asked that LTC Stuart Scheller be released from pretrial confinement.” Besides, QAnon icon Ron Watkins shared with his 436,000 Telegram followers, “Lt. Scheller is a true hero, and we must do everything we can to spread his message.”
