Alexis and Justin in ‘Married at First Sight’ and are they still together?

The pair were completely enamored with one another during their honeymoon. So much so that fans were convinced that the relationship was one to last. They shared plenty of “I love you”s and seemed to balance each other out perfectly. Justin even brought out Alexis’ sensitive side while she encouraged him to take the lead and be more assertive. So what could go wrong? Well, apparently, for pet owners, the key to a happy and long-lasting relationship is not just your own chemistry but also the chemistry between your pets. And the couple’s dogs, Maya and Newton, were not into it.

When Justin’s dog Maya snapped at Alexis’ dog Newton and bit him, Alexis was not happy (and neither was Newton, of course). The aggression from Maya caused Newton to end up with a bleeding eye and an emergency trip to the vet. And Alexis was shocked when she learned about Maya’s aggressive past, which her husband had hidden from her. The revelation resulted in Alexis demanding Justin give up Maya for their relationship’s sake, leading to tension between the pair.

But things didn’t seem to improve after the “dog gate” fiasco. During the couple’s one-month anniversary, Alexis accused Justin of being emotionally unstable. Meanwhile, Justin feels that he got played by her. He even regretted giving up his dog for his wife. The development of the duo’s relationship caused the couple to split up on ‘Decision Day’. Justin discussed the split during the reunion and said, “It’s my choice.” He claimed, “I think it was me that broke it off.” But Alexis laughed it off and pointed that he was wrong. She stated, “I felt like I was not free and I’m a very free-spirited individual. And I felt like I was losing myself,” adding, “We still tried to be friends.”
