'MAFS' Season 15: Fans slam Alexis for making Justin give up his dog while she continues to embarrass him

Star of 'Married at First Sight' Justin gives away his dog as a sign of his devotion to wife Alexis, fans ask about her sacrifices

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: Justin from 'Married at First Sight' has taken a heartbreaking decision to attempt to make his marriage with Alexis work. On October 12 episode, Justin gives up his dog Mya in order to appease Alexis, which viewers believe is a bad decision on his behalf.

The decision was made following a fight between Justin's dog Mya and Alexis' dog Newton when the dogs first met and were not properly introduced by the pair. While Mya was away at training, Alexis and Justin's marriage was strained over the incident. Alexis said Justin had lied about Mya's temperament while she was gone. "I'm giving my baby to my best friend, Chris," Justin says in the newest episode. Fortunately for Justin, he is aware of Mya's feelings for Chris, but this does not make bidding goodbye any easier.

Chris observes, "It's a tough decision, you know. The dog or the wife? I get it, man. You guys have been through a lot together," he says of Justin and Mya, to which Justin agrees: "Exactly, bro." In a confessional interview, Justin then adds, "I'm doing what I have to do as a man, as a husband. It's just a burning, hurtful feeling."

Alexis also comes home to help Justin bid goodbye, and when they're finally alone, he voices his hope that Alexis understands the sacrifice he's just made. Later, he tells Alexis, "I hope this shows you I'm in this. I'm in this marriage." Alexis, on the other hand, makes it clear that the incident and Justin's choice could hurt their marriage. "I'd just appreciate it if you don't throw it in my face," she adds.

When they go to work out with Nate and Stacia, Justin tells Nate that he's worried about Alexis's lack of commitment. Alexis says she is "scared" because decision day is coming up and the couples who met on the show will have to decide if they want to stay with the person they married without ever seeing them. "I'm just scared. A big part of me wants to say yes, but it's that small, little like, 'I don't know, girl.'"

Alexis' reaction, according to Justin, is also surprising. "When I gave Maya away, I was under the impression that we were on the same page," he tells pals, later adding, "It is one f------ week away. You either know or you don't." In an emotional moment, Justin tells the cameras, "I gave up my baby, y'all."

Nate, another 'MAFS' star, also shares his comments, saying, "I think Alexis is immature. I think she's just a liar," Justin says, while "I just feel like I was played." Nate thinks Alexis is not mature enough to answer Justin's question about her situation directly. When Justin and Krysten meet up with Mitch and Krysten later in the episode, he shares that he wants validation from her and that ninety percent assurance isn't enough for him.

Fans on social media slam Alexis for all that she has done and how Justin still chose to give up his dog: "Alexis told us all Justin is “celibent”, had wet dreams, low stamina, weak thrust, AND broke Justin’s trust by telling Morgan that Justin was helping Binh through his marital issues..and he still gave up his dog for her? #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight." Seeing Alexis show no empathy towards Justin, another fan wrote: "Alexis is so unappreciative, performative, and fake. I want Justin to wake up and choose himself. Some viewers couldn't digest the way Alexis goes out of her way to humiliate her husband on national tv: "Justin cries a lot and can be a mess, but Alexis goes out of her way to embarrass and emasculate him to the viewers and production. There are many things shes said we really didnt need to know and it came off like intentionally shaming him. #mafs #marriedatfirstsight." Fans who already don't see the couple last wish: "I’m glad Justin has a trusted friend who can keep Mya (until he finally divorces Alexis). Alexis just came home to make sure Mya was leaving. She paid the dog no attention. #mafs #MarriedAtFirstSight."

Fans also brought up how Alexis wouldn't make zero changes to her life while Justin gives up his dog: "Alexis would have NEVER given away her dog for Justin! She won't even stop going to the club for him #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS." Calling out Alexis for her lack of giving in the marriage, a fan tweeted: "Alexis wants Justin's all but she has NEVER given him her all. 90% isn't good enough. If you got married at first sight, you are a RISK TAKER. All of a sudden you don't want to fight for the marriage after you ruined this man's life. Bye! #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight." Fans see this as an opportunity for Alexis to live an Influencer life: "Alexis is gaslighting Justin like she’s trying to start a fire. Accusing Alexis of playing a game on the show, a fan wrote: "Alexis has seen enough seasons of #MAFS and is playing the game. Justin isn’t her type.
