'MAFS' Season 14: Fans slam Katina and Olajuwon for staying married on decision day

For the couples on 'Married At First Sight', having the foresight to look at the bigger picture is essential. With decision day finally here, it is less about looking at their problems and more about understanding what they might encounter in the future, should they decide to stay together.

Katina and Olajuwon seemed to be on the right trajectory early on, but that crumbled all too quickly. Olajuwon's unreasonable demands continuously set them back, especially regarding her cooking skills and more. Olajuwon never left a chance to question her ability to be a wife. And then, with the whole dating app fiasco, it seemed like there was no turning back.

As they sat down with the experts, Katina and he spoke about their physical intimacy and why they put it on the backbench. Olajuwon explained that he wanted to create an emotional connection first before jumping into the physical aspect because of his past habits. While the experts agreed, there was still the question of the couple's most recent fight -- their disagreements when it came to timelines. With Katina still in school, Olajuwon was convinced that it would push his plans back, as he wanted to travel and have kids, but he wouldn't be able to do so, even though she said otherwise.

This, combined with the fact that he couldn't get over Katina's cooking skills, made things look bleak for the couple. 

When it came down to it, Katina decided to stay married. When asked the same question, Olajuwon gave a whole speech about how he wanted a more 'established' woman and that Katina was not that. But he had respect for her and that she always tried and thus decided to stay married. Fans weren't impressed by the show of emotions and believed that Katina had sealed her own fate. "He sat in her face on decision day clowning her cooking and belittling her as usual and she still said yes lol I don’t feel bad for sis best of luck tho #mafs #MarriedAtFirstSight" tweeted a fan. "You know what Olajuwan sees in Katina that overrides his need for a “more established woman?” Someone he can mold and control. #mafs" added another. "I hope Katina skin toughen up cause the verbal abuse ain’t stopping on decision day #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS" said another. "Katina this is the marriage you deserve. That's all I have to say #MAFS" said another.
