Madeleine McCann's parents respond after Julia Wandelt's DNA test comes negative for missing daughter
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kate and Gerry McCann have issued a statement after learning that the DNA result of the woman claiming to be their missing daughter has come back negative, as was predicted.
Julia Wandelt gained notoriety after claiming to be Madeleine McCann, who went missing in 2003 while on vacation with her parents in Praia de Luz, Portugal.
The Polish national's lawyer, Dr Fia Johannson, claimed the DNA results hadn't been conclusively matched to Maddie. She is "100% Polish," according to the results, according to Dr Johannson, ruling out the idea that she is a British girl.

'There isn't anything to report at this time'
The parents published a statement in reply to a question on their Find Maddie Facebook page, where a woman asked, "Is there any chance of giving us an update? There has been a lot of media about a girl claiming to be Maddie, and DNA being done? Is it possible to let your followers know what is going on [...]?"
She went on and added, "Our thoughts and prayers are always with the McCann family and a safe return of their precious daughter." In response, Kate and Gerry's representatives issued a statement last night, reading, "There isn't anything to report at this time. If and when there is, it will come from The Metropolitan Police," as reported by Mirror.
'Julia had all the birthmarks as Madeleine McCann'
Wandelt is absolutely 100% from Poland, according to a statement released by Dr Fia regarding Julia's findings. She has a trace amount of Russian and Lithuanian ancestry. She said, "But the test results show she is Polish. Julia had all the birthmarks as Madeleine McCann, which I believe is God and the universe's way of wanting us to get close to the man who sexually abused her, expose him and his possible ties to the McCann case." Dr Johansson continued by saying that after learning she is not Madeleine, Wendell made the decision to return to Poland to be with her father. The woman's family hasn't backed this up, as reported by Entertainment Daily.
Madeleine, a three-year-old from Rothley, Leicestershire, went missing in 2007 while on vacation with her family in Praia da Luz, Portugal. Many were dubious about this because it would make her roughly 19 at this point, two years younger than Wendell, as per reports.
