Spoilers ahead for 'MacGyver' Season 4 Episode 4 'Windmill + Acetone + Celluloid + Firing Pin'

Episode 3 was a relatively quieter story where Angus "Mac" MacGyver (Lucas Till) stopped a plane from falling out of the sky (yes, that's what "quiet" means on the show). But now that that's done, 'MacGyver' Season 4 raises the stakes again with Episode 4 'Windmill + Acetone + Celluloid + Firing Pin'.

What starts out as a basic search and rescue mission gets a lot more complicated when the team discovers an undetonated World War II-era bomb that could go off at any moment. As you can imagine, that makes for a very exciting story and we also get some insight into the life of Desi Nguyen (Levy Tran).

In a very fun subplot, Russ Taylor (Henry Ian Cusick) begins to question what exactly Bozer (Justin Hires) does at the Phoenix Foundation, which leads to some hilarious scenes between the two while they both compete to prove who is more valuable to the team.

Hires spoke to MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) earlier about his chemistry with Cusick saying, "Ian joining the cast has been great! I actually worked with him before 'MacGyver' on the pilot episode of the CBS series 'Rush Hour'. I think he's been a phenomenal addition to the 'MacGyver' cast. He brings a level of regalness and humor that fits in perfect with the dynamics of the show."

"I think Bozer is a tad suspicious of Russ initially," Hires explained further. "The Phoenix Foundation has had a few spies and backstabbers in its organization. There's also a little bit of competitiveness between Bozer and Ian to see who really brings the most value to the team between the two of them. Eventually, I believe a friendship begins to grow."

Summing up, 'Windmill + Acetone + Celluloid + Firing Pin' was a thrilling story that brings the show back to its high-octane ways and we hope this continues in the episodes to come.

'MacGyver' Season 4 airs new episodes every Friday at 8/7 c only on CBS.
