CBS's 'MacGyver' reboot is four episodes into Season 4 and so far it's been a fun and thrilling ride. Of all the characters on the show, Justin Hires's Bozer, has always been particularly endearing, especially because of his chemistry with his best friend Angus "Mac" MacGyver (Lucas Till).

In an interview with MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), Hires speaks about his character's arc this season and how he's slowly evolving into someone like Matty Webber (Meredith Eaton).

"Bozer is helping Matty in the 'War Room' a lot more this season," Hires explains. "He's becoming Matty's right-hand man when it comes to obtaining information and helping the team navigate danger on their missions." "So far it appears Bozer will continue to grow as a leader at the Phoenix Foundation," he adds. "He'll fill in for Matty when she goes on vacations haha."

Since the start of Season 4, Henry Ian Cusick has joined the show as Russ Taylor, an ex-MI6 agent who currently owns the Phoenix Foundation. Russ has grown somewhat closer to MacGyver this season but Hires assures us that Mac and Bozer are still as thick as thieves, no matter what.

"Bozer is still forever appreciative of MacGyver for being a member of the Phoenix Foundation, so there's no friction between Bozer and Mac," Hires said. "They're BFFs for life!"

We also asked Hires what else he could tell us about this season's story and he responded saying "Nobody's safe", so there's a pretty good chance we might have to prepare for some tragedy to hit the team in the coming episodes.

Besides 'MacGyver', Hires is currently working on a sequel to the cult classic movie 'Half Baked'. He has already submitted a script for the project to NBCUniversal and Hires promises that the movie, currently titled 'Half Baked 2: Fully Baked', is "very funny and it revolves around Dave Chappelle's character, Thurgood, son."

Hires is also venturing into hip hop with his first mixtape and he's planning on doing quite a bit of stand-up over the year. "I just released my first hip hop project 'Chapter 1: I Do This Too' under the rap moniker J. Hires," he said. "It's available on all music streaming platforms and is getting an extremely positive response online. Also, I'll be touring doing stand-up more throughout the year. New dates coming soon and will be posted on my social media- @JustinHires."

You can catch Justin Hires on 'MacGyver' Season 4 every Friday at 8 / 7 c, exclusively on CBS.
