The new episode of CBS's 'MacGyver' titled 'SOS + Hazmat + Ultrasound + Frequency + Malihini' is set to give us some Codex action and we're really excited for this. The episode like the other recent ones was also filmed before the pandemic, and so we're set to have guest stars that will make the story even more interesting. If you're a fan of 'Hawaii Five-0', then we have some good news for you. Episode 8 of 'MacGyver' Season 5 will see Jorge Garcia as Jerry Ortega! It's been some time since we've seen Jerry, and we're thrilled to find out more about what he's been up to. Characters of 'Hawaii Five-0' usually make an appearance on 'Magnum PI', but 'MacGyver' is snatching this one character for their new episode this week!

Why is Jerry Ortega making an appearance?
This episode seems to have two characters that we're sure to focus on. One of course is Jorge Garcia as Jerry and the other is 'Terminator's Robert Patrick as Ian Cain. The other guest stars include Carey Van Driest as Dr Novak, Sunny Mabrey as a recruiter, Daniel O'Callaghan as an older man/Dr. Viskoff and Jordan Trovillion as a nurse. Episode 7 also saw Frankie back played by Aly Michalka! It seems as though these guest stars bring a lot of substance to the episodes and the streak continues on to episode 8! It seems that Jerry is set to help Taylor and Bozer work through another Codex mess!
The synopsis of the episode reads, "Angus "Mac" MacGyver (Lucas Till) and team rush to help when Matty Weber's (Meredith Eaton) former mentor, Ian Cain (Robert Patrick), and his embassy staff come down with a deadly, mysterious illness. Also, Russ Taylor (Henry Ian Cusick) and Wilt Bozer (Justin Hires) work with Jerry Ortega to infiltrate a Codex cell." It will premiere on Friday, February 12, 2021, at 8 pm EST on CBS.
