LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: All of us have heard many stories about famous authors who either quit from the lack of inspiration or a serious case of writer's block that doesn't seem to go away. While writing is truly a work of passion, intensity, and intention, once the writer loses the spark, it is solely up to him to bring it back, but only if they want it to. AMC's 'Lucky Hank' is about a published writer who is finding his way into the world, while trying to stay afloat and bring back his passion for writing.

The second episode of Bob Odenkirk-starrer 'Lucky Hank' just dropped and many things are happening in the episode titled 'George Saunders'. While Hank's biggest nemesis from his published writer days meets him after 30 years, Hank is going through a whirlwind of emotions re-thinking his life choices.

Writers need balance in their life, as well as in their work, in order for both to be viable and lively. But, Hank doesn't seem to catch a break from everything that's happening around him. Every time Hank gathers the courage to sit down and write in the belief of writing his next novel, it seems like either a force stops him from doing so or he's seen going back in time to recollect some old memories. The whole idea is perfectly portrayed in Episode 2 when Hank goes to an empty bar to get some peace and quiet to write, he is suddenly fixated on a man on another table who is happily typing away on his laptop, with a book titled "Your novel in 30 days" next to him. The emotions on Hank's face show that he is envious of the man, who can totally type away with happiness, while he's stuck in the loophole of horrors. Hank is also not over being jealous of George Saunders' (Brian Huskey) success and is seen watching their 30-year-old interview when they first published their books.

What's the reason that's keeping Hank from writing?

When Hank's old nemesis George Saunders comes for the interview and meets Hank, it seems like Hank's trail of insecurities comes back with him, bringing questions that Hank needs to ask himself. 'Lucky Hank' Episode 2 addresses the reason why Hank hasn’t written for so long and helps him heal himself. It gives the audience a look into the intricacies of writing and the dilemmas of authors. Hank is certainly a great writer and an even better editor. He is one of those writers who knows what the audience likes and isn't afraid to address their opinions. He is blunt about his opinions, but that's what good writers do to survive in the cut-throat competitive world of writing and publishing.

It seems like there are many reasons that are keeping Hank away from writing. One is the mere idea of failure and what Hank thinks of himself, while the other being childhood trauma of his father never being supportive and abandoning him and his family at an early age, and the fact that his father was a resourceful person who, according to George, illuminated his life and stimulated him to write. Hank prepares himself for the interview with George and learns that George appreciates him and his work, and sees potential in his work. We will see in the next episode whether Hank starts writing his book or not, but he goes onto the stage confident and wanting to conquer the literary world.

'Lucky Hank' Episode 2 is available to watch exclusively on AMC.
