Tana Gilmore and Kelli Fisher, the Matchmaking Duo's co-owners, are new to the Atlanta matchmaking market. They have lunch with Shae Primus, the CEO of the Middle-Class Matchmaker, but their day quickly devolves into a salacious gossip session. The Matchmaking Duo tell Shae about their invitation to Joseph Dixon's "Meet the Matchmakers" event. Shae, who was also invited, tells the girls what happened when Joseph arrived at her place "with a full beat face" to invite her.

Shae tells The Matchmaker Duo about Joseph Dixon, the CEO/Founder, and Matchmaker of RealBlackLove.com, who advises gathering all of Atlanta's matchmakers together to get to know each other. He hopes that by referring clients to one another, each matchmaker may support the other. This amuses the ladies, who point out that they have already been doing so as "certified matchmakers." Joseph claimed to be a matchmaker without the author of certification seemed to bother both The Matchmaker Duo and Shae. Although this does not worry Joseph, the ladies believe that accreditation is important for the clients' and their business's advantage.

What infuriated the ladies, even more, was Joseph's mistaken belief that this was his idea (referring clients to one another). When Kelli and Tana realize how Joseph became their adversary in the first place, the friendly competition doesn't seem so friendly. Joseph has a history of stealing other people's ideas and claiming them as his, according to the Matchmaker Duo. They tell Shae about how they were supposed to work on Joseph's app 8 years ago when they were all back in Charlotte, North Carolina, but were duped by him. According to the Matchmaker Duo, they had the concept to offer a VIP feature on the app that would link people from the upper crust. They go on to say that things didn't work out between them and Joseph and that they parted ways, only to discover later that he had introduced the "VIP" feature and claimed ownership of the concept. He was soon dubbed "Mr. Matchmaker" as a result of their proposal.

After blocking the pair after the tense meeting, the three haven't spoken since...until Joseph's impending event. And now that the Matchmaking Duo is in town, he wants to make his presence felt. The Matchmaker Duo dropped by as a pleasant gesture during Joseph's "Mixer Event," only to learn that their idea had been stolen AGAIN! The Matchmaker Duo were seen sharing a new concept with their staff, a matchmaking school, at the start of the premiere episode. The goal of "Love Pro University" is to provide relationship coaches and professional matchmakers with certification. They also stated that they wish to keep the concepts hidden so that no one may steal them. They are taken aback when they learn of Joseph's "plan" to start a matchmaking school at the "Mixer Event."

Viewers will have to wait another week to see how the Matchmaking Duo handles the matter and express their displeasure. 'Love Match Atlanta' premiered on Bravo on May 8 at 9 p.m., and new episodes air every Sunday.
