Lori Harvey's extravagant Christmas gifts sans Future has the Internet calling her the face of toxic ex memes
It's that time of the year again when social media gets fixated on how best to waste the time of the opposite sex with false promises of a romance right as the year culminates. This year, however, the countless tweets and memes were accompanied by a photo of Steve Harvey's daughter - Lori Harvey texting and the fact that she just went all out for her Christmas gifts presumably courtesy new beau, Future the rapper, has convinced internet critics that there could have been nobody else more fitting for the trending face of #Watehistime2019.
It all started over Christmas with people mocking the poorest of the poor excuses toxic exes use to slide back into our DMs, and subsequently, life, and looks like Lori became the muse for most of these legendary excuses. The reason? Lori's Instagram revealed that she is spending the holidays having a gala time with her family, but significantly missing from these celebrations is her new significant other - Future. While it raised questionable doubts over Future's presence in Lori's near future, people were more focused on how the 22-year-old model gifted her mother - Marjorie Harvey, a fancy Chanel bag and herself flaunted a Rolex watch which is reportedly Future's signature gift for his girlfriends.
Of course, Lori did not reveal who gifted her the watch, but it didn't take long for Twitter to point out how she has been living her best life ever since she began dating - their romance alone gaining the official status while they were vacationing in the Middle East. At the time, they were rumored to have been dating for a while even though they had avoided confirming the relationship for the majority of that period. Then arrived Future's birthday party in Los Angeles where she was present, and again, the two were spotted hanging out together in Miami for Art Basel. That was reportedly the last time they were spotted together and even though they might be just one of those really private couples who keep their quality time to themselves, people online couldn't stop complimenting Lori for possibly being one of the most iconic players of her time.
As Future struggles with two separate paternity lawsuits since he has six kids from five women, Twitter couldn't help point out that Lori indulging in some family life amidst all of this deserves to be anointed as the queen of toxic ex memes. Be it fans or critics - they managed to trend her name nationwide within minutes and poured in with hilarious toxic ex tweets accompanying that photo of her typing away on her phone. Think of stuff like “Your mom liked my pic the other day on fb...tell her I miss her and Merry Christmas! We all used to have fun around this time of the year..*sigh* well anyways..don’t want your girl to get mad, take care," as one genius Twitter user came up with. Another marveled at Lori's assumed accomplishment stating: "lori harvey & the several rich gifts she’s getting from several rich ni**as is so inspiring."
Certain people also took note of a similar reaction being shown towards rapper turned author Karrine 'Superhead' Steffans, as Lori got labeled Superhead 2.0. But these comparisons only drew criticism as users slammed the Lori-hype complaining how the OG Superhead was shaded for doing exactly the same thing that Lori is being applauded for. "These females are ridiculous. They slammed Superhead for doing the same thing. Lori Harvey is Superhead 2.0 and at least Superhead wrote books and made money. Lori just lives off of Steve. Why is that something to be admired?" wrote a fan. Another remarked: "How's Lori Harvey winning when y'all called Superhead a h*e for doing the same thing?"
