'Loki' Episode 2: Lady Loki or Enchantress? New avatar leaves fans confused

The new variant of Loki was finally unmasked in Episode 2 of the Disney+ series and fans are divided if it was Lady Loki or Enchantress

In one of the trailers of the Disney+ series, there was a split-second shot that made everyone excited. Loki (Tom Hiddleston) was seen sitting with a blonde-haired woman in a black costume. Everyone was left wondering who that woman could be. Meanwhile, ahead of the series premiere, some leaked photos suggested that the woman donning the black costume could be Lady Loki.

The actress, Sophia Di Martino, made her Marvel debut in the second episode of the highly popular Disney+ show and portrayed the female version of the master manipulator. However, there is a lot of confusion about the character she played. A lot of people felt that it indeed was Lady Loki, but there were many who said that she might Enchantress.

In the episode, the Time Variance Authority and Loki time travel to 2050 and reach a supermarket to catch the new variant of the God of Mischief. The variant takes control of Hunter B-15’s body and talks to Loki. While talking, Loki makes an offer to the variant and says he is going to overthrow the Time-Keepers and he might need some help.

However, the new variant of Loki says no to his offer and a fight breaks out between them. At that time, the new variant of Loki is still inside someone else’s body and hasn’t come forward with its true identity. As soon as the fight is over, we see the new variant coming in its signature black hoodie. The camera zooms to the variants and we get to know that it is a female version of someone who looks like Loki and has been trying to mess up the timeline.

The episode ends with one of the best scenes of the show until now as Lady Loki messes up the timeline badly and creates numerous different timelines. She escapes the supermarket through the magical gateway. But this time, Loki follows her and escapes the TVA.

The introduction of the new character has created a lot of curiosity in the minds of people and social media was absolutely buzzing with reactions. Many people were convinced that it was Lady Loki and they flooded Twitter with some really amazing comments. One user said, “LADY [EXPLICIT] LOKI!!! AAAAAAAAAH! I AM BLESSED THIS DAY!” Another user shared, “I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE LADY LOKI.” Meanwhile, another user noted, “She’s here!!! Lady Loki has entered the MCU!!!”

“HELP ME BREATHE LADY LOKI SET OFF THE MULTIVERSE NOT WANDA WHAT AN ICON,” another user added. “IT'S LADY LOKI!!!!! HELL YEAH!!!!!” another user said.

On the other hand, some believed that it was Enchantress’s youthful aspirant, Sylvie. “I think that “Lady Loki” is actually Sylvie Rushton (Enchantress). I only say that cause she has blond hair, similar powers, and also was asked to not be referred to as Loki which was very questionable to me,” one user wrote. Another user wrote, “This is Sylvie people. We have our Enchantress.” Another user added, “Yeah she’s definitely enchantress. Which makes sense why she was doing the magic thing at the store.”

However, one of the fans of the show shared a screenshot of the international versions of the show and in the end credits roll, the character’s name Sylvie was present. So, it makes sense that she really might be Enchantress.
