Lindsay Clancy murders: Duxbury mom was 'having one of her best days' before killing three children, husband Patrick says
DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: Lindsay Clancy, who allegedly took the lives of her three minor children, was reportedly in good mood before executing the murders, prosecutors have claimed. Lindsay Clancy is accused of strangling five-year-old daughter Cora, 3-year-old son Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan on January 24 while her husband Patrick Clancy was out.
The older two died the same day but the toddler died on January 27 while in the hospital. Lindsay’s lawyer has claimed that she was not in a healthy mental state when she allegedly murdered the children. After harming the little ones, the 32-year-old also reportedly harmed herself by cutting her wrists and neck before jumping down from her second-story room.

Lindsay was ‘having one of her best days’
According to some claims, Lindsay suffered from postpartum psychosis, but Plymouth County Assistant District Attorney did not believe it. Patrick told investigators that his wife “was having one of her best days. She was smiling and happy, and there was no indication that she was going to harm the kids,” PEOPLE reported, citing Jennifer Sprague.
The accused has pled not guilty to all charges she has been pressed with, which include two counts of murder, three counts of strangulation, and three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. However, prosecutors have asserted that the children were killed with "deliberate premeditation and extreme atrocity and cruelty”.
Lindsay planned a fool-proof crime
Prosecutors have also accused Lindsay of planning the murders with zero chance of a slipup. They added, “She created the situation, and she used Apple Maps to make sure she would have enough time to strangle each child before her husband returned from where she had sent him.”
Currently, the woman is receiving treatment at the hospital and will remain there before being declared safe to send to another facility. She is expected to re-appear in court on May 2.
‘Real Lindsay was generously loving’
Meanwhile, it has been said that Lindsay’s husband does not think of her as a killer as on a GoFundMe, he declared, “I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have. The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone - me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients. The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.”
He went on to say, “My family was the best thing that ever happened to me. I took so much pride in being Lindsay’s husband and a dad to Cora, Dawson, and Callan. I always reminded myself that each day with them was a new gift. We always started our days together, reading books, cuddling up on the couch, and playing with magnet tiles."
“I loved taking them places, whether it was scooting at Chandler elementary, vacation, skiing, out on the boat, or to Duxbury Beach, one of our favorite places on earth. They gave me purpose and I never took it for granted. There is now a massive void where that purpose once was. I promise I’ll put all my energy into healing and rediscovering my purpose. I owe that to all of you, Duxbury fire and police, our compassionate healthcare workers, our local faith leaders, the Microsoft community, and especially Cora, Dawson, and Callan. I don’t know how or when I’ll be able to do it, but your love and generosity will help me get started. I know that love always wins,” Patrick added.
