‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood': A1 Bentley 'apologizes' to Lyrica Anderson for cheating on her, but fans say his apology was 'tired'
Last week we saw Lyrica confronting her husband A1 about his cheating allegation with Summer Bunni. The rap producer finally owned up to it, and instead of apologizing he began playing the blame-game and brought up Lyrica’s cheating with his close friend Safaree. The episode ended with Lyrica crying and admitting that she can’t be with A1 anymore. In this week’s episode, which aired on August 26, we saw A1 back from his tour and moving back to the house he’s sharing with Lyrica. After all that drama A1 revealed to his friends that things haven’t been the same since his return and that Lyrica barely acknowledges him and they are like strangers. Who wouldn't?
His buddy and fellow castmate Lil’ Fizz suggested that he try harder to make his marriage work, and A1 seems to pay heed to the advice. We hoped that A1 would do something thoughtful to woo his estranged wife, considering, she is already scouting for homes to move into in case things with A1 get worse. But we never in a million years expected such a half-hearted apology from A1 to his baby mamma. He went to Lyrica and apologized to her by saying that he should never have slept with Summer Bunni and also brings up how terrible the previous year was for them. He then ended his apology by asking Lyrica to join him on his tour and perform her single and as an afterthought, he also asked her if she still wants to be with him.
Lyrica, however, told him that she was unsure about their relationship and needed time to think over his tour offer. All said and done, we just couldn’t believe that his apology was so half-hearted. Fans too had a lot to say about the situation.
A fan wrote, “A1 just sorry he got caught. He ain't sorry for the people he's hurt or the souls he crushed. #LHHH”. Most fans were of the view that Lyrica shouldn’t bother getting back with A1 or trying to make their marriage work, but instead focus on herself and her baby boy. A fan tweeted, “I really feel like A1 is playing with Lyrica's emotions at this point. That apology was so tired. Lyrica better wise up and get a good divorce attorney. #LHHH #lhhhollywood”. Another fan commented, “Is A1 really trying to sucker Lyrica by letting her perform? Is he serious ?? guhhh bye I think Lyrica should move, you gotta show him you don’t need him in order for him to change sis #LHHH”.
