Leonardo DiCaprio is real life HERO for saving his pet huskies when they fell into icy lake
Actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio is extremely possessive for his two huskies and the man found himself in the icy waters when one of them nearly drowned in a frozen lake.
When Leonardo was shooting for 'Don't Look Up', Adam McKay's comedy in Massachusetts, the Oscar-winning actor rescued his huskies from the frozen lake when one of them was about to drown. The actor shared the detailed happenings of the incident with Entertainment Weekly when he appeared on 'Around the Table'. He said that he had to ask for help from his co-stars but in the end both he and his dogs were fine.

When the cast of the show appeared on the round table talk, McKay told Leonardo to share the frozen lake story saying, "You gotta tell the frozen lake story." He added, "The funniest thing was, Leo has these two rescue Huskies that are just absolute tornadoes." Co-star Jennifer Lawrence said that the two dogs are psychotic.
Jonah Jill added that they are 'full like the joker, they thrive in absolute chaos'. Jonah roomed with Leo and his two huskies, Jack and Jill, when they were filming.
When McKay prompted to share the frozen lake story, Meryl Streep was taken aback and said, "oh my god, I didn't understand what you do in a frozen lake."
Sharing the story, Leo began, "Basically they both fell on a frozen lake." Lawrence continued his statement, "one of the dogs fell in, and he jumped into the frozen lake to save the dog. And then as soon as he pushed the one dog out of the pond, the other one jumped in."
Leo said, "Well... the other one started licking the one that was drowning, and then we all were in the frozen lake together." Leo said that since his dogs have always lived in California, they do not understand the concept of a frozen lake, whatsoever.
Telling what happened next, Lawrence said, "I'm sure you guys are all wondering, I was too, he immediately got naked in the car."
In 2020, Leo rescued the two huskies Jack and Jill with his girlfriend of five years, Camila Morrone. The couple has a third husky named Sally.
Leo and Camila are private about their relationship and the latter was not even present at the premiere of his film in early December. A source told the E! News, "Leo has been settling into this domestic life with Cami, as opposed to all the time he used to spend out with his boys. He does really like his life with her and they are a lot more couple than they used to be."
