'Legacies' Season 2 Episode 6: Fans are ecstatic as everyone's memories of Hope return this week
This week, The CW aired the 'Legacies' episode that everyone was waiting for in more ways than one. Not only do we get to see Freya Mikaelson again, but most importantly, everyone's memories of Hope return -- thanks to Josie of all people.
Josie has been the most antagonistic to Hope ever since the latter came back from Malivore, mostly because she sensed the chemistry between Hope and Landon. It has caused her to act out, and this week, when Josie learns of Lizzie remembering Hope, she tracks down Freya to reverse-engineer the spell that caused Lizzie's memories to return.
However, on meeting Freya she does not mention everything, leading Freya to conclude that Josie would use the spell to bring back everyone's memories or to erase their memories of Hope for good.
Thankfully, the Saltzman twin -- after a conversation with her mother, Caroline -- decides to do the right thing and does the spell just in time to revive memories of Hope. This was good, especially because this week's main monster (there were two this week) was a monster that sought out liars.
So how will this change things for the people of Mystic Falls? Just because memories of Hope comes back, it does not mean Landon will immediately get back together with her. The feelings between Josie and Landon are very real and very present and this could cause tension. We wonder if Josie would think about how she feels about Hope too.
But fans loved the much-awaited moment of the return of the Hope memories. One fan tweeted, "The way they did hope’s reunions all chaotic with all the kids and then had that powerful and beautiful moment with Freya was absolutely perfect. #Legacies."
Fans obviously want more reunion scenes, especially between Hope and Alaric. A fan said, "Now we just need hope & Alaric to reunite now that he has his memories back #Legacies."
