BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: The Boston Celtics vs Los Angeles Lakers' January 28 game kept the audience on the edge of their seats till the last second. Patrick Beverley initially upset the Celtics, who were clinging on to a one-point lead with just a minute left. Beverley's triple gave the Lakers a much-needed advantage, but this was shortlived as Malcolm Brogon's two free throws tied the score for the Celtics. Beverly came to the rescue again, giving the Lakers a two pointer.

However, Beverley's heroics was shortlived as he fouled Jaylen Brown allowing the Celtics to tie the game at 105-105.  At the end, the Lakers fell to the Boston Celtics in overtime. Apart from the nailbiting contest witnessed at TD Garden, an incident that stole the show was LeBron James' reaction to a play that almost saw him score with just about four seconds remaining to change the 105-105 scoreline. With the clock ticking fast, James had made a stretch to the basket with his left hand, and appeared to be fouled by Jayson Tatum.

However, NBA officials decided against it, inviting a furious reaction from the Lakers star. Beverley, who went up to the referee with a camera to show what he had apparently missed, was given a technical foul. The referee blew his whistle the moment James missed the basket and the game went into overtime. James did not hold himself back in expressing exactly how he felt.

As the referee blew his whistle, James rushed to the sideline, made an angry gesture with his hand and threw his fists in the air, looking very frustrated. Slapping his head, and pointing at his left hand, which he thought was touched by Tatum, and should have resulted in a foul, he then kneeled down on the court. He swallowed some of his frustration and then bent down, his face expressing utter disbelief.

"This was crazy," wrote another user, while a third opined, "Garbage!!! Refs are horrible. Pat Bev even brought the camera!!!" A fourth quipped, "Can’t wait for the memes of him jumping and falling to the ground."
