TOOWOOMBA, AUSTRALIA: An Australian woman has shared her anger and frustration after her tenants left her house filled with feces, maggots, sanitary pads, and urine. The nightmarish condition of the house located in the city of Toowoomba has reportedly even left the owner wondering if she will ever put it out for rent.

The occupants of the house were paying $485 weekly along with a bond of nearly $1,900, which the landlady believes is low as per the current market rate, Daily Mail reported. She asserted, “You will find it impossible to find anything of a similar size and price in the market nowadays in Toowoomba.” But the property’s condition has now left her disheartened and fearing that it can cost her $30,000 to get things fixed.

‘The emotional and physical cost to fix is too much’

The woman reportedly said, “The maggots. The defecation. Used women's sanitary pads everywhere... If you're just dirty or messy, it is not to this stage. This is too much. This kind of destructive behavior makes landlords not want to continue to advertise the property on the market for rent as the emotional and physical cost to fix is too much.”

It has been reported that the landlady has now sought the court’s help since insurers are not considering listing it until it’s cleaned. The owner has reportedly already spent around $7,000 to buy a skip bin and to hire cleaners to get started with the cleansing. But she’s worried that she would have to spend tens of thousands since the tenants also allegedly severely damaged the oven and air-conditioning areas.

Not just that, the landlady alleged that the tenants left the house filled with urination all around. The smell of it was so strong that she could not enter the house for several weeks. The woman reportedly purchased the house in 2015, but with the drastic state of the property, she’s worried if it will ever make a comeback on the market.

‘We couldn’t ignore it anymore’

In another bizarre case, an English couple discovered that their house had become a beehive. The 41-year-old Kate Dempsey said, “It all started in the really hot summer last year. We noticed black sticky stuff coming down our bedroom wall. It got to the point where we couldn’t ignore it anymore. I smelt it and tasted it and it was honey,” reported New York Post.

The woman went on to share, “We started pulling more and more, there just seemed to be no end, it was absolutely disgusting. We’d never seen anything like it. The sheer volume of the hive was huge. We kept cutting these floorboards away and more and more honeycomb kept appearing,” before adding, “We kept finding more and more, there’s a bit of roof above our window and that was full of golden honey too. You can imagine the mess. It was horrendous.”
