Kyle Rittenhouse, who was recently acquitted of killing two men and wounding a third, during confrontations amid protests in Kenosha last August, now wants to meet face-to-face with President Joe Biden, who once branded him a "white supremacist" on social media.

Speaking to Glenn Beck, Conservative podcaster and CEO of Blaze Media, in an interview, the 18-year-old was asked whether Biden ever called him to apologize. "He hasn't, and I would like to sit down with the president and have a conversation with him and tell him the facts of what happened," Rittenhouse told the host matter-of-factly, to which Beck replied, "Um, I don't expect that to happen, but it would be right for him to do it."

On November 20, the 18-year-old was found not guilty of first-degree intentional homicide and other charges and walked out of court a free man.

How had Biden branded Rittenhouse a "white supremacist"?

The allegation was made against Rittenhouse in a video Biden's team made after last year’s chaotic presidential debate with former President Donald Trump. In the debate, Trump infamously said, "Stand back and stand by," after he was repeatedly challenged by the moderator as well as Biden to condemn white supremacists. Biden’s Twitter account later posted a video with the caption, “There’s no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night.”

The tweet featured footage of the white supremacists in Charlottesville. As the audio of Chris Wallace referencing violence in Kenosha played, the clip showed an image of Kyle, 18, wielding a semi-automatic rifle. At the time, it was reported that Rittenhouse was suing Biden for defamation. When TV host Hannity asked Kyle's mother, “When the then-candidate, now President of the United States, and other elected officials, that don’t know anything about your son refer to him as a white supremacist, I have yet to see any evidence whatsoever that he is such a person. When prominent people say that, how did that impact you and how did it impact him?”

'He smeared his own name when he had delusions of grandeur'

Rittenhouse's comment in the interview with Glenn Beck was severely criticized on Twitter. "Not guilty doesn’t mean innocent. Nobody would have died that night hadn’t Kyle gone out of his way and marched against a curfew carrying an AR15," one of them said, while another noted, "Fact: Kyle shouldn't have gone to Wisconsin and patrolled with an AR-15." A third commented, "He smeared his own name when he had delusions of grandeur by acting like a law enforcement officer in a high stress situation without having any experience or training. Regardless of the judgment he put himself out there & reaps whatever he may sew good or bad."

One more added, "Smeared his name? Sure right after Trump apologizes for all the people he’s smeared." Another quipped, "Smearing his name? He went there to hunt people." The next remarked, "What's he gonna do, cry again?" One more stated, "Lol the cojones on this murderer." A commenter tweeted, "Lol Glenn Beck doing a story on someone smearing someone’s name! All he does is spread lies about Biden and smear his name and divide this country!" A person reacted with, "Oh FFS. He’s a POS killer. He’s not worthy to be a pimple on Biden’s a**"
