Explicit sex scene in Netflix's new show starring Bell and Benjamin Levy Aguilar leaves many followers stunned, actress says 'sorry' over backlash

Over the years, Netflix has become something of a safe spot for raunchy adult content that would otherwise be relegated to the dark corners of the internet. From 'Sex/Life' to 'Dark Desire', users have been flooded with a variety of options for adult content ranging from softcore pornography to very visual and hardcore. The latest to join that long list is the controversially titled 'The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window.'

We've covered controversial sex scenes in the past, from the rather "gross and nasty" one on 'Ozark' to the very revealing shower scene in 'Sex/Life'. where it appeared Adam Demos left nothing to the imagination. When it was released back in June 2020, '365 DNI' was also labeled "porn", with many comparing it to the 'Fifty Shades' trilogy, but far raunchier. Despite the controversies, it seems like Netflix is in no mood to slow down its production of adult content.

That's where the new Kristen Bell and Benjamin Levy Aguilar show comes in. It appears that the sex scene in the show was far too raunchy for many users, who went online to complain about the sudden and very explicit scene. Unlike traditional movie releases, streaming services don't necessarily need to be censored in the same way, which is what allows Netflix to release raunchy scenes with little legal pushback.

If you haven't seen 'The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window', consider this to be a warning. In the fifth episode of the show, Bell and Aguilar strip off before doing the deed in various parts of her home, from the shower to the staircase. It's quite long, and leaves very little to the imagination, something that caught a lot of families off guard. In fact, the backlash mounted up so much, that Bell even responded to one tweet with, "Hahahahaha sorry dude."

'I did not need to see that'

Not everyone saw the funny side though. One user responded, "Watched with my kids wasn’t expecting that and my @netflix fast forward has an uncomfortable delay Fun show though." Another said, "Ugh, I plan on watching the show. Can we just have one show or movie where we don't have scenes like this?" One user tweeted, "Not to be rude but the Kristen Bell sex scenes in this new Netflix show are so awkward to watch I did not need to see that lmao."

Others though clearly loved the scene and let Bell know. "@KristenBell what are you talking about dude! That was sexy AF. Hopefully you hired a good housecleaner," one user replied. Another joked, "I never thought Kristen Bell would be giving me ideas in the sex department but okayyy i should try riding d*ck on the stairs got ya." One user tweeted, "I saw a trailer for this and thought I'd pass. Now that I know it contains some Kristen Bell freaky sex I'm back in!"
