Kou Vue: California man fatally shoots ex-girlfriend's sister Ta-Sheng Ly, 28, then kills himself

FRESNO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: Ta-Sheng Ly, a Californian woman has been shot dead in a murder-suicide case. According to authorities, the victim was attacked by her sister’s boyfriend Kou Vue, after he managed to convince them to pull over the car on Highway 41. It was at that moment when Vue pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds, hitting Sheng Ly, who was pronounced dead at a hospital later, as per the California Highway Patrol and Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
The officials reached the scene after a distress call around 10.05 pm was made by the victim’s 25-year-old sister, who was riding in the passenger seat. She called 911 and reported that her sister is shot at and unresponsive. On the call, she also managed to give a description of his car, and that he ran away after the shooting. The officials said, just within an hour after the shooting, authorities tracked down Vue’s vehicle as it was heading north on State Route 99. The shooter then got out of the car at an off-ramp and shot himself, according to the California Highway Patrol. "It was later determined the suspect sustained self-inflicted fatal injuries," the department said in a press release.

Investigators are under the impression that the deadly incident took place from an earlier domestic violence incident. The records show that Vue had been booked in Fresno County Jail on July 8 on the count of assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment, and also with a warrant for domestic violence, reports People. The killer’s bail was then set at $45,000, but he was freed on July 12 as part of a probation pretrial supervision agreement, Confirmed the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.

The fundraiser, launched by Samantha Fang further reads, "For her to be taken so young, it's hard for anyone to believe that she's gone. She was the second oldest in her family, she was an amazing person, always helping anyone in need, and always warmed everyone’s heart with her beautiful smile.”
The page appealed to people to support the family and lessen the burden of their loss, “No amount of money can ever replace the loss but any donation you can make will help to ease the burden of any financial strain to give sheng a proper burial.”
