Kevin Costner's divorce sparks rumors of him quitting 'Yellowstone' to save his marriage
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christine Baumgartner, the wife of actor Kevin Costner, gave a clear—and yet fairly obvious—signal that things were not going well with their 18-year marriage by going on a happy date with a friend in the California sunlight while poignantly removing her wedding band. The Hollywood star's perplexing announcement about his forthcoming divorce, though, is what really drew people's attention. After all, most famous people make an effort to portray their breakups as amicable decisions that were carefully considered and to give them a favorable spin.
However, the star of the hit television series 'Yellowstone', Costner, and Baumgartner has not released any joint statement this week. On May 1, Baumgartner announced her decision to divorce, claiming "irreconcilable differences." Unexpectedly, it was left to Costner's agent to confirm that the pair are divorcing, as reported by Daily Mail.

Did Costner leave 'Yellowstone' to save his marriage?
According to rumors, Costner quit his starring role on the most popular Paramount series, for which he was supposedly paid an eye-popping $1.2 million each episode, in an effort to save his marriage. What is certain is that Taylor Sheridan, the writer, and director of 'Yellowstone', and Costner, renowned for being tough, have recently been at odds. The actor's unexpected absence from the Golden Globes in January was one of the first signs that things were not going well between Costner and the show's producers.
A new account of the events soon followed in the New York Post. Publicist Robinson has also intervened to refute claims that Mr Costner is suffering from health issues, "Any suggestion that Mr Costner is in bad health is also untrue," he stated. Also, Taylor Sheridan was accused of having a "God complex" and being responsible for all the animosity.
But it's undeniable that Costner was completely 'blindsided' by Baumgartner's choice to call it quits on their marriage. He plainly opposes the divorce, though. For their three children, Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and 12-year-old Grace, the couple has each requested joint custody. Whatever the reasons for the divorce, it's a humiliating and depressing time in the well-known actor's life.
Costner does not want to a divorce
Clearly, 68-year-old Costner doesn't want to divorce. According to sources, he sincerely loves his 49-year-old wife, whom he refers to as Chris, and he valued having extra time to spend with the family during lockdown. Given his alleged wealth of $250 million (with a prenup) and the fact that he lives in California, where assets are divided equally, he has a lot to lose. The 'disso queen' attorney Laura Wasser, whose clients include Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, and Kim Kardashian, has already been retained as a precaution by the client. The couple's divorce lawsuit has a hearing scheduled for July. He has two months to change the course of events.
Rumors of Costner impregnating 'Yellowstone' PA
Since his wife Baumgartner filed for divorce on May 1, Costner has become the focus of wild speculations. One of these rumors claimed that the actor had an illicit affair with a 'Yellowstone' production employee and caused her to become pregnant. His marriage allegedly fell apart as a result of this event. His spokesperson Arnold Robinson said, "The rumor referred to regarding Mr Costner impregnating a woman on the set of Yellowstone is absolutely not true and is defamatory."
Another allegation that has not yet been proven or ruled out is that Baumgartner dumped Costner because he refused to reduce his workload. It was claimed that Baumgartner had given Costner an ultimatum to leave him if he didn't leave the show last year. Surprisingly, within a few hours of the divorce news being public, leaks claimed that 'Yellowstone' would end after the current season of filming.
