What is Kenny Omega's net worth?
Born on October 16, 1983, in Winnipeg, Canada, Omega's real name is Tyson Smith. He hails from a non-wrestling background as his mother worked in the family services while his father was a government officer. However, Smith developed a passion for wrestling at an early age as he grew up watching the WWE tapes. He was also encouraged by his uncle The Golden Sheik - who was a wrestler with IWA and AWA. Though Smith initially kicked off his sports career in ice hockey, he soon delved into the world of professional wrestling around 15 years of age.
Training under TRCW promoter Bobby Jay, Smith debuted in the ring in 2000, at the age of 16. He took up the stage name Kenny Omega after a Hawaiian surfer gimmick. After achieving success in the wrestling domain, he dropped out of university to pursue the sports as his full-time profession.
Omega, who currently resides in Tokyo as a Japanese citizen, has competed around the world. He was also crowned the biggest gaijin superstar at New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He met his former tag partner and best friend Kota Ibushi while briefly wrestling for Japanese promotion DDT. Presently, Omega is hailed as one of the biggest stars in All Elite Wrestling. He has won several titles in each and every promotion he has participated in. He is often hailed as 'The Best Bout Machine' for his strategical wins and undefeated streaks.
As of 2021, Omega has a net worth of around $800,000, according to Essentially Sports. In personal life, he is an avid gamer and often recognized as a fanatic of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter.
