What is Karl Rove's net worth? Republican slammed by Trump once said John McCain has 'illegitimate Black child'
Former president Donald Trump slammed Republican strategist Karl Rove, who advised his 2020 campaign, as a traitor. He also called the strategist "a pompous fool" in a statement released on Thursday, March 4.
In the scathing statement, Trump called Rove a 'RINO' — Republican In Name Only. "Karl Rove has been losing for years now, except for himself," Trump wrote. "He's a RINO of the highest order." He claimed that Rove rang him on election night to congratulate him for his victory and later "came to the Oval Office lobbying for 5G". The 45th POTUS' fury came after Rove wrote an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, March 3, criticizing Trump's CPAC speech and suggested that he not run in 2024.

"He’s a pompous fool with bad advice and always has an agenda. He ran the campaign for two Senators in Georgia, and did a rotten job ... Should have been an easy win, but he and his friend Mitch blew it with their $600 vs. $2,000 proposal." pic.twitter.com/sSS7sngvUf

Trump also called on Fox News, the news network on which Rove frequently makes appearances with a whiteboard covered in hand-drawn statistics, facts and figures, to drop him. "Karl Rove's voice on Fox is always negative for those who know how to win," the former president said. "He certainly hasn't helped Fox in the ratings department, has he? Never had much of a feeling for Karl. He's a pompous fool." Trump also added that the GOP should "just let him float away" because he was responsible for the Republican Party's defeat in the January Senate runoff election.
In a statement to Reuters, Rove dismissed the harsh criticism by Trump. "I've been called a lot of things in my career, but never a RINO," he said. "I've voted for every Republican presidential candidate since I turned 18 and have labored only for GOP candidates since then. I have a different recollection of Mr. Trump's views on 5G and our conversation election night. I'll continue to use my whiteboard and voice to call balls and strikes."
What is Karl Rove's net worth?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Karl Rove has a net worth of $8M. He first got involved in politics in 1968, serving as the "Olympus High chairman for Wallace F Bennett's re-election campaign". He famously got George W Bush elected to the White House using his often ruthless but inarguably effective talents. He is also infamous for spreading the rumor among rural sections of the electorate that then-presidential candidate John McCain fathered an illegitimate Black child.
GOP mocked by Twitter for infighting after Trump's statement
Rove's name started trending on Twitter after Trump's statement went viral on the platform. While some of the users found the statement quite amusing, others mocked the Republican party for the petty infighting between the former POTUS and Rove. "I heard somebody is attacking Karl Rove, but I don't recognize the guy's name," one of them said, while another wrote, "I don’t hate to see trump fighting with Karl Rove." A third noted, "So now Donald Trump is trying to get Fox News to fire Karl Rove? Guys, I’m starting to think the GOP’s cancel culture rhetoric isn’t entirely sincere."
One more said, "I’d like to see the phone record to back up the 'Karl Rove called me to congratulate me on my big win' on Nov. 3 claim. Rove most certainly would NOT have thought the stable genius had it in the bag by 10:30." Another commented, "So Trump is trying to cancel Karl Rove? I thought conservatives said cancel culture was bad." The next remarked, "trump posting another 3,000-character mean paper tweet, this hilarious one aimed at Karl Rove. I suspect this disqualifies him from running, right?"
A commenter tweeted, "Trump fires out another crazy statement, this time about Republicans who don't adore him. His main target? Karl Rove, who he labels a 'RINO' and 'loser'. Mind you, if memory serves me correctly, Rove helped his GOP leader to a second term, which is more than Trump achieved." Another quipped, "So he basically just has a blog now? Nobody wants to read a personal essay about Karl Rove, not even Karl Rove." One more said, "In a fight between Donald Trump and Karl Rove I’m rooting for an asteroid." A person reacted with, "When did my fellow Republicans become such snowflakes? Trump lost. Get over it. Time for a new direction."
