Kari Lake hires lawyers to review Arizona election results after her shocking loss to Democrat Katie Hobbs
PHOENIX, ARIZONA: Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has reportedly repudiated her unexpected defeat in the midterms and declared that she's calling in lawyers to contest the verdict after she denounced her victorious Democrat rival Katie Hobbs by calling her "a fox in the henhouse." Lake, who is an important Republican candidate, was crowned as a new star of the MAGA movement. She lost her race to Hobbs and has since claimed that voter fraud was the culprit.
Hobbs served as Arizona's secretary of state until her recent gubernatorial win. She had wide supervision over the Grand Canyon State's electoral process. Lake claimed it was inappropriate for her to maintain that role while running for Arizona's highest office. Although during its recent midterm elections, Arizona was struck by issues, there's no proof that the result shifted in Hobb's favor, the Daily Mail reported.

"I am still in this fight with you," Lake said in a video on Twitter, adding, "For two years, I've been sounding the alarm about our broken election system here in Arizona - and this past week has confirmed everything we've been saying. Well, we called for Katie Hobbs to recuse herself over a year ago. They ridiculed us. It turns out we were right. They fox was guarding the hen house, and because of that, voters have been disenfranchised when we raise concerns."

She also tweeted, "It took Larry an hour & a half to get into his polling location Inside, Larry's ballot was repeatedly rejected by the tabulator. He was asked to put it in box three so it could be counted downtown. He refused. Because he felt it meant they would throw his vote in the trash."

Lake has reportedly hired lawyers to challenge the results. She was expected to be victorious due to her strong TV presence. However, her loss has turned out to be one of the biggest setbacks in the midterms. She also backed Trump's 2020 election fraud claims and said that there were "tens of thousands" of voters in Maricopa County that were impotent. She also cited an example of a man who had to wait three hours in line because of faulty tabulators. "He drove another 15 minutes and was finally able to cast his vote," Lake said. "But he's not sure it counted. Our election officials failed us miserably." The 53-year-old does not appear to back down anytime soon and said the "fight to save our republic has just begun."
Her legal team, in the meanwhile, is trying to find out answers to potentially faulty voting machines. "Rest assured, I have assembled the best and brightest legal team and we are exploring every avenue to correct the many wrongs that have been done this past week," Lake said. "I’m doing everything in my power to right these wrongs. My resolve to fight for you is higher than ever."
On Monday, November 14, Lake tweeted, "Arizonans know BS when they see it," claiming that she was robbed of the chance to serve as the state's next governor. Her allegations were also backed by the former president Donald Trump. "Wow! They just took the election away from Kari Lake. It's really bad out there!" Trump said on Truth Social.
The close contest between Lake and Hobbs for the governor's race is one of the most significant general elections because Arizona is a battleground state and is expected to play a key role in the 2024 US presidential election. Lake is determined to ban the state's mail-in voting, which conspiracy theorists wrongly profess is vulnerable to fraud, adding distrust among voters about the transparency of a voting method used by hundreds of thousands of Americans.
Twitter users also lambasted Lake's claims regarding the election. One user tweeted, "'Conspiracy theorist and right-wing extremist refuses to concede loss in fair election plans to waste taxpayer time and money with endless series of nuisance lawsuits.' Fixed it."
Another tweeted, "Because there was absolutely nothing suspicious during elections in Arizona. Voting machines not working (lack of TONER), Secretary of State in charge of elections (while running as candidate), and a week long to “count votes”. Nothing strange about that."

One tweeted in favor of Lake's claims. He wrote, "I truly believe that this was a stolen election, too many instances that can be proved. Kari Lake is the right person for this job, Hobbs should of recused herself."
"Hopefully she has the same legal team trump did! Aren’t most of them disbarred? Dewey, Cheatem and Howe!!" tweeted one, while another tweeted, "So this is the part when Kari will beg for money to support her BIG LIE!"
