Karens slam Derek Chauvin's guilty verdict, want to start GoFundMe page to help him appeal
Derek Chauvin's trial concluded in a guilty verdict. The former Minneapolis police officer was convicted of all the counts filed against him — second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter — in the death of George Floyd.
A racially diverse 12-member convicted Chauvin after three weeks' worth of testimony from 45 witnesses including bystanders, police officials and medical experts. But obviously, there were those who wanted little to do with the guilty verdict. These have been tagged as Karens. Some social media users actually sided with Chauvin taking to their accounts to criticize the verdict, even speaking out in his support.

Tomi Lahren was also among those who took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the verdict. The conservative Fox News commentator took to the social media site to write, "What happened to George Floyd at the hands of Chauvin was WRONG but there is still NO evidence it had anything to do with race! Chauvin was found guilty on all counts in under a day. Any violence/rioting/looting that happens tonight can’t be blamed on a racist justice system!" In a series of tweets, she tried to question the verdict but was schooled by social media users in no time. "You got your justice so I’d assume there will be peace in Minneapolis tonight? No rioting? No looting? No harassing officers?" she tweeted.

An Instagram account going by the name of 'CrazyKarens' has actually made a compilation of some of the strangest of comments by so-called Karens. "Someone should start a go fund me site for Chauvin to pay all his legal expenses & help his family w/ their expenses too," one commented, as if Chauvin is the victim in all this.
Many knew this would be happening. "Some boomer right now is fucking his entire bank account up trying to set up a down-low GoFundMe for Derek Chauvin." Along similar lines, another user tweeted, "Conservatives will need to start a GoFundMe account so Derek Chauvin can buy things in prison. Luckily for Chauvin there are many white supremacist in prison who will gladly show him around the yard."

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden said in a nationally televised address, "It was a murder in the full light of day, and it ripped the blinders off for the whole world to see. Systemic racism is a stain on the nation's soul."
