Kansas City's Tyrann Mathieu accused Tom Brady on social media of calling him "something I won't repeat" during a scuffle at the pitch, before rapidly taking down his tweets. The Chiefs' safety and the Bucs quarterback locked horns on several occasions during the first half of Super Bowl LV on February 7, Sunday. At one point, Mathieu was seen sticking a finger in Brady's face just moments after he threw a touchdown, sparking speculation as to what went on between the two, The Sun reported. Mathieu appeared to try to address speculations on Twitter following the game. "He called me something I won't repeat but yeah I'll let all the media throw me under the bus as if I did something or said something to him..." he tweeted. "go back to my previous games against TB12 I showed him nothing but respect. Look at my interviews about him... I show grace." He deleted the post shortly after.

During an interview Sunday night, Mathieu praised Brady as "a great quarterback," but said: "I never really saw that side of Tom Brady, to be honest. But whatever. No comment. It’s over with. I’m done with it." Brady chased Mathieu after receiving the finger, but the latter was slapped with a 15-yard penalty and Brady faced no consequences.  "He's clearly chasing me but I got flagged... lol," the Chiefs star wrote in another deleted tweet.

Brady secured a notable seventh Super Bowl ring and gave one of his best performances to date on Sunday night. The NFL great, 43, led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a dominating 31-9 victory against Kansas City Chiefs -- who won the SB last year -- in Raymond James Stadium in Florida. According to The Sun, Brady now has more Super Bowl wins than any teams in history, leaving the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers behind on six. The age-defying quarterback's latest accolade came after leaving the team with which he dominated the sport for two decades last year to move to Florida.

Super Bowl fans on social media lashed out at Mathieu after he deleted his posts about Brady's alleged verbal abuse. "What an absurd claim. Guy's been in the league for decades and somehow when he’s 43 he’s saying absurd shit. Get outta here," one tweeted. "This sh** is so old yet people still believe it even when it is disproven. Certain player acts ridiculous then when he realizes it pulls race card. He deleted it but some will still not care," another added. "Deleted that sh** the minute it was revealed Tom was Mic’d up," a third wrote. "yeah cuz bro found out Brady was mic'd and didn't wanna get caught in 4k," another added. "That seals the deal. I am no longer a Chiefs fan. This team is a pure and utter embarrassment to the city of Kansas City. I officially will not be renewing my plan next season nor will I watch on tv ever again. I’m going to Tampa Bay where they know how to run a mega dynasty," vowed a fifth user.
