'Very insensitive' John Cena trolled for using Russia-Ukraine war to promote 'Peacemaker':
John Cena, the WWE star who turned out to be an actor, seems to be in no mood to chill! He had to face the heat of netizens for his promotional tweet in an uneven time and unapologetic way of branding his show. Cena tweeted . In a tweet on Thursday, February 24, the actor used the Ukraine crisis to promote his HBO show "Peacemaker".
Cena's tweet didn't take much time to fume the social media and netizens started lashing him openly about his insensitive and careless attitude. People pointed out a similar instance where he had apologized to the Chinese government for calling 'Taiwan' a country. "If I could somehow summon the powers of a real life #Peacemaker, I think this would be a great time to do so," Cena tweeted. He was referencing the superhero series, in which he takes the titular role.

'Peacemaker' has received widespread recognition in the past; however, people were unhappy about the timing at which Cena was brandishing the plot. "Great time to hashtag your show for trending purposes. Very insensitive don't you think?" one person said. Another user added, "I'm just saying there is never an appropriate moment to say this, especially now." Echoing the sentiment, someone else posted, "I understand the sentiment but using this moment to plug the show is a bit… bleh."

The condition has been worsening in the Russian- Ukrainian border and this tweet arrived just as it was reported on Thursday morning at the local time that Russian troops were crossing the border from multiple directions. Some videos that went viral on social media featured explosions in several Ukrainian cities, including the capital, Kyiv.

The war which has broken out in Ukraine saw several casualties including the deaths of civilian and military lives. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that 137 civilians have been killed so far by Russian military personnel invading the country. Meanwhile, hundreds more have been wounded. In his speech, he called those who died "heroes," adding, "They're killing people and turning peaceful cities into military targets. It's foul and will never be forgiven." Indeed, the condition is deteriorating the each passing and the world community is hoping for an early end to this massacre.
