President-elect Joe Biden laid out his Covid-19 vaccine distribution plan on Friday at a press conference. He began by lashing out at Republicans who refused to wear masks while holed up in a secure location while the Capitol Hill riots were happening on January 6. By the end of his presser, Gateway Pundit reported that he was seen struggling to walk away from the pulpit after finishing up. Eager reporters were seen shouting questions at him about the inauguration next week but Biden chose to walk away from the presser. A reporter called out to him asking if he was feeling safe about his inauguration next week based on the intelligence he's received to which Biden answered, "Yes" while still walking out of the briefing room.

During the conference, Biden appeared visibly angry and didn't hold back while condemning GOP members. "I hope that we all know that this is not a political issue, this is about saving lives. I know it's become a partisan issue but what a stupid stupid thing for it to happen. This is a patriotic act. We are asking you, we are in a war with this virus. Experts say and have shown that wearing a mask from now until April will save as many as 50,000 lives. Quite frankly it was shocking to see members of the Congress while the capitol was under siege by a deadly mob of thugs refusing to wear a mask while they were in secure locations."

"I am so proud of my Congressmen here in Delaware, Rochester, trying to hand out masks to people lying on the floor huddled up and the Republican colleagues refusing to put them on. What the hell is the matter with them? Four members of congress including a cancer survivor now have COVID-19 who were in those rooms. For God's sake, wear a mask if not for yourself, for your loved ones, for your country. These are real matters of life and death.

Biden is currently preparing to take office on January 20, just weeks after the Capitol riots, and according to a poll conducted by Pews Research center, 64% of voters have expressed a positive opinion of his conduct since he won the elections in November 2020. The majority of them have also shown approval towards Biden's Cabinet selections as well as his explanations regarding his plans and policies for the future.

On the other hand, President Donald Trump is leaving office with a heightened number of negative ratings for his post-election conduct. The share of voters who rated Trump's conduct since the election as only "fair or poor" has risen from 68% in November to 76% with virtually all of the increase coming in his "poor" ratings (62% now, 54% then).

The survey was conducted between January 8 to 12 among 5,360 US adults, including 4,040 who say they voted in the presidential elections. It was deduced that a sizable majority of Americans do not want Trump to remain a major political figure after he leaves office.
