Joe Biden slammed for reading Covid-19 vaccine speech from teleprompter: 'He's frail, cognitively declining'

'Enough with the speeches, it’s time for a press conference,' say netizens as Biden has gone longer without one than any president in the past 100 years

Talking about instances when President Joe Biden was touted to be suffering from dementia, netizens spoke about how Biden was "frail" and "struggling to read" from his teleprompter, as he wrapped up his first address as president on Thursday night, March 11. He spoke about America’s progress with Covid-19 vaccinations. Former president Donald Trump had gone on a Twitter rampage in October last year, accusing the then Democratic presidential nominee of having "dementia".

In his first prime-time televised address as president, Biden pleaded with Americans to stay vigilant. He directed states to make all American adults eligible to receive the vaccine no later than May 1 and talked about the $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief stimulus package he signed into law hours earlier.

'Weak, frail and cognitively declining'

One Twitter user said, "He’s weak, he’s frail, he’s cognitively declining. He struggles to read from a teleprompter. Increasingly unhinged ... ...but President Biden is kicking ass!" Referring to the time Sean Hannity said Biden's cognitive problems are 'getting scary', a netizen praised Biden's speech and said: "After that extraordinary and eloquent speech, do you think Hannity will have to find a new mantra, instead of “Joe Biden has dementia”?"

Others were not so kind. "It’s only been a month but fair to say that Joe Biden is the worst President in the history of the country . What a disaster the border is , joke of a stimulus , the woke cancel club run amuck, his son buying million $ homes via fraud and ‘our’ POTUS has full blown dementia," said a tweet.

'Anyone can be Teleprompter President'

One user said, "Teleprompter President. Biden really needs to take questions in spending 2 trillion dollars and all the executive orders. Enough with the speeches, it’s time for a press conference." Others continued to comment on the president not holding a press conference to date. "Presser: President Biden will address the Nation and read from the teleprompter, but he won't do a press conference.....ever.....again....ever." Another said, "President Biden words are not his own. Anyone can be President when they put a teleprompter in front of you. #embarassing," said another.

Nearly seven weeks and counting, Biden is yet to stand before America and take questions from the media. He's gone longer without one than any president in the past 100 years.

'He looks half dead'

"If Russia could hack into a Teleprompter, they could have President Biden say anything," said a tweet. "President Biden moves more slowly than when he was vice president under former President Barack Obama. He squints slightly when looking at the teleprompter and sometimes misspeaks anyway," said another.

A Twitter user said, "Wow president Biden looks half dead in his teleprompter session." Another quipped, "There is no “president” Biden. There is only a cabal-controlled teleprompter."
