Joe Biden takes Air Force One amid snowstorm, trolls say Trump would still be golfing
President Joe Biden deplaned Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews due to a snowstorm that has brought the US capital to a standstill. In the video footage that has gone viral, Mr. Biden is seen bracing against the wind and the snow while leaving the plane quickly. Upon watching the video, the social media users couldn't help but compare Biden with former President Donald Trump.
The current president of the United States was held on Air Force One for half an hour, waiting on airport personnel who struggled to lift the door of the plane amid heavy snowfall. After the airport staff pushed the truck transporting the stairs to the door of the aircraft, Mr. Biden was able to finally leave the plane. This incident happened when the President was returning from his home state of Delaware where he celebrated New Year to Washington DC.

In the viral footage, Biden can be seen covering his face against the snow as he walked down the staircase, with a secret service agent following closely behind him. The armored limousine that usually transports the president was swapped for the SUV version to deal with the snowy DC streets. The drive from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland to the White House usually takes around 30 minutes but due to the snowstorm, it took more than an hour.
One Twitter user reacted to the video by saying that, "Trump would still be walking around trying to figure out which vehicle to get into."

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser declared a snow emergency on Sunday night that will be in place until 7 pm Monday. The National Weather Service issued a warning that between four and eight inches of snow could fall between the southern Appalachians through the nation's capital and into southern New Jersey.

As much as 10 inches of snow is expected to hit DC, northern Virginia and central Maryland. US Capitol Police closed the grounds around the congressional building as the heavy snow broke tree branches fell to the ground.
The White House canceled Press Secretary Jen Psaki's first briefing of the New Year on January 3, Monday, citing weather concerns. "Because federal officers in the Washington DC area are closed, there will be no press briefing today," the administration said.
