'Cinnamon Toast Crunch' saga has been a trend for days now after writer-producer Jensen Karp aka Hot Karl claimed he allegedly found dried shrimp tails in his cereal box. Taking to Twitter, Karp posted screenshots of DM's and emails between him and the company, General Mills. Furthermore, the trend escalated when people finally connected the dots and realized that Karp was Danielle Fishel's husband. The actress played the beloved character Topanga in the 'Boy Meets World' series.

However, things have taken a disturbing turn since Karp managed to keep the Cinnamon Toast Crunch trend going. Now, three women have accused him of allegedly being an "abusive boyfriend."

The claims went viral (Twitter)

The Daily Dot reported that by Wednesday, women have allegedly claimed that the former rapper has a history of being "abusive and manipulative." Referring to a LA Times Twitter headline, actress and writer Melissa Stetten took to Twitter to reveal a bit of Karp's past writing, "What you may not know about the man behind the viral posts” what like he’s a manipulative gaslighting narcissistic ex-boyfriend who once told me he was surprised I hadn’t killed myself because my life was so worthless?" Writer Stephanie Mickus also responded writing, "Hahaha my quickly deleted subtweet yesterday said, “Oh no I can’t follow the latest viral saga cause I was blocked in 2014 b/c I was not gracious enough after a surprise threesome! But not before I was told to ‘be careful or I would never work in this town again’”

Disturbingly enough, writer Rory Uphold responded to Mickus, writing, "I ended up in the hospital. Took me a year to recover mentally and I still struggle." Earlier, she had retweeted an LA article writing, "That this is the most abusive person I have ever been with and I am crying as I type this." But there are allegedly more women who have stories related to Karp, as Mickus tweeted, "The amount of women who DM’d me with stories today. Let alone the ones I have known about for years and talked to about our shared experiences. Oh lord."

'I expressed discomfort with this several times'

Furthermore, comic Brittani Nichols tweeted about her experience with Karp while working on Season 2 of the celebrity rap-battle series 'Drop the Mic' with a long thread on Twitter. In part, it read, "I worked Season 2 of Drop the Mic. A show that, in my opinion, he & the other EPs stole. I was told leadership had to be talked into hiring a person of color for the RAP show. 1st season there were 0 writers. My season, I was the only black writer and there was a black WA," she said.

She further added, "The way things worked is we would write couplets, the best of would get assembled into a battle, then he would essentially destroy what we'd written by rewriting lines with the same premise as our jokes, yet worse. He routinely replaced lines about black celebrities with couplets about how they just looked like other black celebs that they did not at all resemble. I expressed discomfort with this several times but again, he never spoke to us so I had to shuffle this through the head writer."

Since the 'Cinnamon Toast Crunch' and 'dried shrimp' drama, Karp is yet to respond to these alleged claims. His last "update" on the matter read, "No real update and I’m not posting about this bullshit all day again. Waiting for the envelope I agreed on from General Mills to send them back pieces and some of a shrimp tail will leave home for DNA testing at Noon. They grow up so fast." Before this, he'd been posting about the incident for two days.

'Abusive piece of garbage'

Karp's popularity plummeted as many took to Twitter to call him out on the viral claims made by the women above. "Now that I know Jensen Karp is an abusive piece of garbage I hope he truly did eat mouse crap and wish him nothing but the worst xoxo," wrote one user. Another added, "Honestly, this is the only attention Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shrimp man - Jensen Karp deserves, being outed as an abuser. His wife Danielle Fischel is garbage too and was abusive/racist towards her PoC co-stars. F*ck them both." Yet another added, "Had no idea Jensen Karp was such trash. I used to listen to his Bachelor recap podcast with Melissa. That's at least two women (including Melissa) who have said he was an abusive boyfriend."

One user wrote, "Wait...how did we go from making fun of shrimp being in Cinnamon Toast Crunch to now attacking Jensen Karp and saying that he did it on purpose, lying and/or he’s an abusive gaslighter? I missed several steps here...." Another tweeted, "The whole internet is baffled by podcaster Jensen Karp, who claims to have found two bags with shrimp tails and rat shit in his Cinnamon Toast Crunch! *5 seconds later* Also his wife is Topanga *10 minutes later* and we regret to inform you he has a history of emotional abuse."
