Who is JaDon?
TikTok icon La'Ron Hines rose to fame with his video series 'Are You Smarter Than a Preschooler?' where he featured a bunch of youngsters. The kids apparently perceive him as a fun big brother or 'cool uncle'. Many of his videos went viral on social media, turning JaBria, Lauri, JaDon, Zan and other kids in his videos into household celebrities. In fact, Hines even received a huge box of Ivy Park clothing items from none other than Beyoncé herself.
In February 2021, Hines and his legion of preschoolers were even invited to the Golden Globes for filming a segment. A-listers like Amy Poehler and Tina Fey have also admitted to being fans of Hines's show.
One of the children who regularly appears in La'Ron Hines's TikTok videos happens to be JaDon. In some previous videos, he had notably made amusing claims like Cardi B was from South Africa or that John Cena was the biggest wrestling event. However, in his latest TikTok appearance, JaDon has casually said something quite deep and intense.
'The hood' (short for neighborhood) is an urban slang mostly used by Black Americans to designate their residential areas, social circles and communities. The term is often equated with 'ghetto' which expresses the racial alienation faced by African-Americans in the USA.
Amid the rising incidents of racism in USA, Twitter users are lauding JaDon for calling 'The Hood' his country. He is being hailed for unknowingly hinting at the massive racial discrimination plaguing the country.
"JaDon wasn’t lying," tweeted athlete Jordan Whittington, while another user joked, "Jadon is 30 and y’all can’t convince me otherwise."
A third user said, "Jadon is a grown man. I know y’all hear that deep voice but my guy said the HOOD!! He ain’t never lying cause Merica’ is GHETTO 🗣🗣"
