Will Trump disown Marjorie Taylor Greene? Ivanka distances herself as she eyes her own political career
For the past few days, reports have been rife that Ivanka Trump is eyeing a political career for herself. As she and her husband settle into their new luxury apartment in Florida, Ivanka gears up to pave her way into mainstream politics, sans one prominent Republican icon, Marjorie Taylor Greene.
The latest news tells us that Ivanka feels the controversial GOP Representative, who was recently voted out of House committees, can hurt her own political ambitions. In fact, DailyMail reports that Ivanka has urged her father to sever ties with Greene due to her extremist viewpoints.

Why Ivanka dubs Greene as 'extreme'
Republican Congresswoman Greene, who is an elected Rep from Georgia, has been in the headlines time and again for her problematic comments and actions. For instance, Greene is a staunch believer in the QAnon conspiracy theory and has also been accused of unabashedly supporting violence against Democrat leaders.
She was recently ousted from her assigned committees after an old photograph of her resurfaced where she was seen holding an AR-15 gun in front of photographs of Democrat Representatives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.
Greene is also believed to nurture anti-Semitic sentiments. In 2018, she had signed an online posting that accused Jewish billionaire George Soros and the Rothschild family of being part of the QAnon conspiracy, alleging that powerful figures like them run a global pedophilic racket.
Greene had also expressed her views in the past saying that 9/11 was a staged event, so were the school shootings reported across the America in the past few years.
"She won't say it on a loudspeaker, but Ivanka does not want to be associated with Marjorie. She's too extreme. Ivanka is all about Ivanka and preserving her reputation. She prides herself on being the rational one and is staying clear of anyone who could jeopardize her image and her political aspirations," an insider source for Trump revealed to DailyMail about Ivanka's dislike for Greene.
Ivanka's political ambitions
It is no secret that Ivanka Trump had been interested to follow in her father's footsteps and join mainstream politics for quite some time now. The 39-year-old, who served as an advisor during Trump's presidency, is speculated to run for the US Senate in Florida in 2022. She is all set to throw a challenge to Florida GOP Rep Marco Rubio in the race for the Senatorial seat in 2022.
Incidentally, Rubio had been one of the strongest critics of Donald Trump before he won the presidential election in 2016.
Meanwhile, Marjorie Taylor Greene poses a challenge for Ivanka in her political ambitions. Her father, former President Donald Trump, has never been shy about favoring Greene as a 'rising star' in the party, who diligently follows his ideals. This has led Greene to assert herself as the female version of Trump, an insider source remarked.
Ivanka feels that Trump's affiliation with Marjorie Taylor Greene might mislead people to believe that she also shares similar extreme ideals like her. This, in turn, will hamper her chances of winning a Florida seat, as Republican supporters have already disapproved of Greene and her extremist politics.
It now remains to be seen how Ivanka plans her political career ahead as she relaxes in the new multi-million oceanfront condominium bought together with her husband Jared Kushner.
Internet dubs Ivanka and Marjorie both as 'Karens'
It appears that the Internet is not too pleased with either Ivanka or Marjorie. Amid reports of the former's dislike for the latter, social media was flooded with a variety of reactions.
"I think demonizing the lovely name "Karen" should cease. A much more appropriate term would be "Ivanka" or even "Marjorie"," tweeted one user.
