MOSCOW, IDAHO: Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, who has been charged with the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students, has been a topic of discussion for netizens ever since his arrest on December 30. Kohberger was arrested at his parents' home in eastern Pennsylvania, more than 2,500 miles away from the town of Moscow. Internet users have not only pointed out the 'stone cold appearance' and 'dead eyes' of the suspect but have even drawn parallels between Kohberger and DC's supervillain Joker.
Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, were stabbed to death on November 13 in their off-campus rental home on King Road in Moscow, Idaho. Kohberger, a PhD student in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the neighboring Washington State University, is now facing four counts of first-degree murder and felony burglary charges. Kohberger is currently being held in Latah County Jail and is expected to be in court for a status hearing on January 12.

There were some users who believed that Kohberger has the classic 'serial killer face', "For sure he's got the classic look. If I were casting a film, he'd get the part for sure," read a Reddit post. "Yikes.I hate to say it, but the guy kinda looks the part. Something in the eyes and facial disposition. But of course that could be the male equivalent of Resting Bitch Face. So like, Resting Serial Killer Face," read another.
Further, a Redditor made a reference to a quote from 'American Psycho' while commenting on Kohberger's picture, "there is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there. I think this picture encapsulates this quote from American Psycho perfectly."
