NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A man was arrested for raping 4-year-old twins in Pennsylvania and for attacking two officers who tracked him down to a Midtown homeless shelter on Tuesday, April 19, and then fleeing, according to officials. Isaiah Metz, 22, was at the Antonio Olivieri Drop-In Center on West 30th Street near Eighth Avenue in Manhattan when an NYPD detective and an investigator from the Department of Investigation, both members of the Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrived to arrest him around 4:15 am, according to police.

Metz attacked the two police, striking each in the head several times and biting the investigator on the arm before fleeing. Metz was adopted into a foster family in Pennsylvania, where he is suspected of raping the twin female infants, according to police sources. According to CBS, the terrible sex attacks occurred in Goldsboro, which is situated in York County. According to court documents, he is facing 115 crimes, including child pornography. NYPD posted on April 20 that they have successfully arrested the suspect. No other details were released as of now.

Earlier, Metz was seen running uptown, where he allegedly entered a metro station. According to the New York Daily News, police canines were able to follow his scent to W 32nd Street and Seventh Avenue. According to an affidavit obtained by Penn Live, the suspect was apparently following the victim on July 24, 2021, while her other sibling went to a doctor's appointment. According to court records, the family said that the daughter was upset when she came back home and reportedly informed them during the shower that her vagina hurt. Police allegedly took DNA samples from her underwear as well as the chair where the attack occurred. According to Penn Live, investigators were unable to rule out the possibility that the DNA belonged to Metz.

Earlier, Metz was also placed on Pennsylvania's most wanted absconders list and reportedly freed around March 30. He has not appeared in court in connection with his alleged offenses. According to Local 12 News, the culprit faces up to 1,000 years in jail if convicted on all 115 counts. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children eventually learned Metz had posted 42 photographs and eight films of himself sexually assaulting the children, all of which were obtained on his phone in February, according to the complaint. Meanwhile, both cops who were attacked by Metz were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries and subsequently released.
