70-yr-old serial offender who sexually assaulted 12-yr-old freed, allowed to live near schools
Supreme Court Justice Helen Bowskill on Thursday last week lifted the restrictions on the serial sex offender Robert John Fardon saying he is not a serious danger to the community
The 70-year-old notorious child rapist, Robert John Fardon, was reportedly released from prison on Tuesday after the Queensland government lost its final bid to keep him under constant supervision.
The Supreme Court Justice Helen Bowskill on Thursday last week decided that the restrictions on the serial sex offender could be lifted. The restrictions included limitations on where he can live, which means that he is now free to live where he chooses and will not be subject to electronic monitoring, curfews or mandatory counseling, according to the Daily Mail.
