Is Quinatvious in top two? 'American Idol' fans call out singer for ignoring Tori Kelly's onstage advice
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 22 fans were quick to call out Quintavious Johnson for what they perceived as disrespectful behavior on the show.
Many were especially upset when Tori Kelly suggested a song for him to perform, only for Quintavious to opt for a different song. This decision led fans to believe that he disregarded Tori's input, resulting in disappointment among viewers.
Adding to the frustration, Quintavious sought advice from Tori Kelly on whether to sing her song "Hollow" or a Carrie Underwood song. Tori graciously encouraged him to perform her song and even rehearsed it with him.
However, when Quintavious took the stage, he chose to perform a Carrie Underwood song instead, deviating from Tori's suggestion. This turn of events left fans feeling angry and betrayed by Quintavious's apparent lack of respect towards Tori Kelly and her guidance.
A fan wrote, "Why would you go to tori kelly and ask if you should sing her song or a carrie underwood song, she requests you to do her song and even sings it with you in rehearsal… but then u go onstage and sing Carrie Underwood??? idk kinda disrespectful."
Some viewers described Quintavious's decision as "weird," with one commenting, "I did see him say on Insta that he is going to do Hollow if he advances to the next round but yeah, it felt really weird." "he so wrong for that," added a fan.

Quintavious started to sing at just 11 months
Quintavious Johnson, a talented singer from Franklin, Tennessee, showcased his musical prowess from a very young age. His mother, Yolanda, first noticed his talent when he was just 11 months old, as he hummed along to a song she sang in a grocery store.
This early display of musical talent prompted Quintavious to join the Lime Stone Baptist Choir at the age of five. His early involvement in choir marked the beginning of his journey into the world of music, laying the foundation for his future accomplishments and successes.
How do the platinum tickets work in 'American Idol'?
In Season 20 of American Idol, a new feature called Platinum Tickets was introduced. These special tickets were awarded to contestants who received a golden ticket from the judges, granting them entry to Hollywood and allowing them to bypass the first round of auditions there.
Contestants like Abi Carter, Julia Gagnon, and Odell Bunton Jr were fortunate enough to receive Platinum tickets, enabling them to skip the initial Hollywood round held last week.
However, despite this advantage, they now find themselves on an equal footing with the other contestants as they progress to the Top 24 stage of the competition. This ensures fairness and maintains an equal playing field for all contestants vying for success on American Idol.
