'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' actress and Republican Kristy Swanson made news after being admitted to the hospital due to "Covid related complications". She revealed her diagnosis to her Twitter followers in the morning on November 1 writing, " Prayers for me please. Yesterday I took an ambulance ride to the hospital. I’m still here with pneumonia, I’m on oxygen etc, all covid related of course. I’m in good spirits and in great hands." Since then a number of trolls replied back to her, mocking her for questioning the vaccine and the virus in the past. "I pray that you get well enough to apologize to the people taking care of you for adding to their burden by not getting vaccinated. And that you then spread the word that others should not make the same mistake. Feel better soon," one of the tweets read. Swanson was not having any of it and lashed out at many who were sending her hate, including this user to who she tweeted back saying, "What do you know about my medical or Covid history? I’ll wait."

In related news, Virginia's Travis Campbell, an unvaccinated dad of six kids ended up in the hospital with severe Covid-19 related complications following which he urged everyone to get the jab. Anti-vax radio host Phil Valentine was admitted to the hospital in critical condition with Covid-19 after which his family begged everyone to get vaccinated. Speaking of famous people who have earned flak for not taking the virus and the vaccine seriously, Eric Clapton deserves a mention. The legendary singer collaborated with Van Morrison during the pandemic to release the anti-lockdown song 'Stand and Deliver'. He also refused to perform at venues that required patrons to produce a proof of being vaccinated. On the other hand, Blac Chyna went on a rant against a fan at Miami airport and was seen yelling, "go get vaccinated" after which she was jokingly compared to "#DrDogKiller" Dr Fauci.

Is Kristy Swanson anti-vaxxer?

Providing further clarification and updates on her health, after tackling haters online, Swanson tweeted, "Thank you all for the prayers it truly means a lot to me. I can feel it. Just little more clarification & update, I was just at the tail end of my Covid diagnosis when it jumped into my lungs. So they are treating me with Baricitinib & blood thinners so I don’t clot. I’m ok." While all the trolling she received was brutal, saying that it was coming from nothing would be a stretch. "Oh I see, so it behaves just like the flu. Every year a new flew strain arises & a new vaccine comes out for it, if you want to get one. That’s exactly what this whole thing is, except this time they want to mandate vaccines so they can make mo-money," read one of her tweets from September 29.

However, Swanson took to her page to clarify she had never mentioned being against the vaccine. "Fact check: I have NEVER said I am anti-vax," she said and while the trolls continue to bring her down, Swanson's has the support of her fans who have joined her in fighting them and are praying for her speedy recovery. While at the hospital, she continues to represent the Republican party and tweeted, "I believe New Jersey is gonna go red today. I’ve only lived here a year and a half. But the major passion that I see in parents, they are fired up! Their kids education and sports is their #1 priority and their safety. I believe VA and NJ will be red States today. No doubt."
