AUSTIN, TEXAS: UFC announcer Joe Rogan seems to be scared of people who have anorexia, an eating disorder. During an episode of the 'JRE' podcast, Rogan brought up the topic of eating disorders. He also shared his experience of coming across someone with anorexia.
On his enduringly well-liked 'JRE' podcast, Joe Rogan frequently discusses diet and health. At 56 years old, Rogan is the epitome of fitness and wellbeing. His strong physical appearance and steadfast dedication to maintaining his fitness are proof of it.
Joe Rogan’s take on anorexia
During episode #2035 of the JRE podcast featuring Brian Simpson, Joe Rogan discussed eating disorders. Rogan recalled an unsettling experience in which he stumbled onto an Instagram video of a young woman with anorexia.
“You know what scares the sh*t out of me? That I have been seeing on Instagram is anorexics. There was some anorexic lady dancing on Instagram,” Rogan said.
Rogan further disclosed that he spoke with his daughter, who was acquainted with the well-known Instagram user, about this issue.
“She knew the girl’s name. Eugenia or something like that? She is a famous on Instagram. I believe that (being anorexic) part of what she is famous for. That’s crazy, that scares the sh*t out of me,” he added.
Eugenia Cooney, a 29-year-old Instagram star with more than 600,000 followers, is the person he was referring to. In addition to her online presence, Cooney is well-known for her continuous battle with an eating issue.

The UFC commentator's worry is a result of the fact that Cooney's illness appears to be a contributing factor in her online stardom.
Joe Rogan’s first encounter with anorexia
Joe Rogan then discussed what it was like to witness an anorexic person in action. He described how a woman with eating difficulties was present in his yoga session. The host of the show claimed that he was astonished and unhappy by her physical state.
“I used to do yoga with this anorexic lady. The beginning of the class, I look over, and I had to do on of these (a scary expression), because she was like 70 pounds,” he said. “It made me so sad. Because you can fix that with food,” he added.
