Is Bryan Baeumler OK? 'Rock the Block' Season 5 star describes 'first 3 years of filming' as 'blur'
OAKVILLE, CANADA: Bryan Baeumler, renowned for his upbeat and controlled manner on HGTV series like 'Rock the Block,' has had personal problems behind the scenes that contradict his on-screen appearance.
Despite his ability to handle house renovation issues, Bryan has struggled with anxiety and agoraphobia. Bryan opened up about his anxiety disease and agoraphobia at an annual event in Ottawa, bringing attention to his problems.
He talked about feeling overwhelmed by public speaking and the difficulties he had while dealing with acute anxiety.
Despite his calm television demeanor, Bryan underlined the disparity between exterior appearance and interior challenges that people may face, emphasizing that not everything is as perfect as it appears.
“From my early 20s, for about 15 years, I had severe anxiety and agoraphobia,” he said.

Bryan also confessed that he has suffered from severe anxiety and agoraphobia from his early twenties, for more than 15 years.
Despite his popularity on HGTV, the first few years of shooting were difficult for him, as he suffered from frequent panic attacks.
His public recognition of these problems revealed a side of him that viewers would not have known otherwise. “The first few years of filming the show were pretty much a 24-hour-a-day panic attack,” he said.
'Rock the Block’ star Bryan Baeumler wants to erase stigma around men’s mental health
Bryan mentioned that he wrote a message on social media about how "it's OK not to be OK" a few years back. The statement was a break from his typical renovation-related content, but it elicited a response.
He stated that men approached him and thanked him, saying they needed to hear such comments. "It's been a tough few years for people," Bryan remarked.
Men, in particular, may feel pressurized to keep their emotions locked up. There’s certainly the pressure as a man to be tough and keep it inside … there are a lot of pressures on men," the father of four stated.
He encouraged others, especially parents, to have deeper talks about mental health. “People don’t talk about it … we have to remove that stigma for men,” he stated.
