Duane Chapman aka Dog the Bounty Hunter has closely observed Brian Laundrie's social media activity just like the majority of the country. Ever since the fugitive has gone missing, people have noticed he has made changes to his Instagram bio, removed songs from his Spotify playlist, even gone live from what seems like a boat, among other things. Chapman has vowed to find Laundrie alive and has claimed to have achieved major breakthrough in the case. He has also made certain observations while being on the lookout for Laundrie and recently described some of the posts on the fugitive's Instagram page as "demonic."

Before diving into Chapman's recent claims, here's the 411 on the search operation he's leading. Chapman recently shared a video on his Instagram which saw him immersed in swamp water where he along with several others was seen heading into the thick bush and floating vegetation. Many slammed him for this "gimmick" and urged him to search the Appalachian trail, a region which Laundrie is familiar with and he's been sighted there multiple times in the recent past. On September 25, Laundrie's mother called the cops on Chapman who has been on the frontlines for finding her missing son, claiming he was banging on her front door. When initially joining the hunt for Laundrie, Chapman had said, "He's [Laundrie] not an experienced runner or criminal. Suicide is a very likely possibility," which contradicts his recent statement.

Is Brian Laundrie a satanist?

In the past, the Internet has observed that Laundrie is an avid reader and his choice of genre is science fiction and horror fiction. He was seen reading 'Annihilation' in one of the videos on Gabby Petito's channel and he referenced Chuck Palahniuk's 'Lullaby' many times through his Instagram posts. There are some mindblowing theories the Internet has come up with including the ones where certain people believe that he tried to emulate the terrifying storylines of these books in real life.

Chapman too weighed in on Laundrie's reading list while speaking to Dr Oz, "Some of the books that he has read are very, very dark. I mean this kid was not in a very good state of mind before and after this happened." Chapman also talked about Laundrie's social media posts saying, "One thing Dr. Oz that I looked at and we all looked at, is that he has Instagram posts. Now if you look at them, there are pictures of what I would call demonic-looking things." He appeared to be referring to Laundrie's artwork which included drawings of Hellboy,  Frankenstein, a human with the head of a wolf holding a bloodied knife, skeleton, and the Grim Reaper leading sheep to the slaughterhouse. There's a YouTube video where the creator explains why they feel Brian Laundrie could be a satanist.
