The 'Dance Moms' star provided a health update following a recent major surgery in an interview with The US Sun. Since she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer five years ago, the pain has been her best friend. "Sometimes, I feel fabulous, other times I'm in a lot of pain. My back is chronic - it hurts constantly where the surgery was," Abby revealed in the interview. Since her heartbreaking diagnosis, the star has undergone multiple surgeries, but this recent one really was a major setback in her path to recovery.

She underwent inpatient rehabilitation for 17 days following the surgery in a hospital in Texas before going back home. "Getting out of bed is like a whole physical workout for me. Just putting your underwear on and putting your slacks on, I have to do that all laying down while I'm in bed," she told The US Sun while explaining her daily life. Abby also explained that she had to do a whole workout for her legs before she can even think about getting up from bed. Simple tasks have become painful and complicated for the star.

Abby Lee Miller won't let a wheelchair stop her

One would think the constant pain and confinement to a wheelchair meant Abby had to give up teaching dance. But they are wrong, Abby has continued to take classes through zoom and revealed, "Even though I'm paraplegic and I'm in the wheelchair, I am not letting it hold me back. I was invited to teach classes all over the place."

She even quipped that she will take note of how many times her wheelchair can get damaged on a plane. The 'Dance Mom' star aims to be able to get back on her feet with the help of a walker and is getting physical therapy and all the help she requires to achieve her goal.
